The Leagues Child

It had been a couple of months since the league took in the baby Toga found and as much as the others didn't want to admit it they were growing attached. The attachment stemmed from everyone having to look after the baby one time or another since Toga couldn't always be there due to missions. Today though just showed exactly how attached they had gotten when they suddenly heard the TV All For One usually communicated through start up for the first time since before the baby had been taken in by the league. All of them jumped at the noise and surprisingly enough Shigaraki moved just enough to cover where the child was sitting on the floor to place him out of view from the man looking through the screen. As soon as the transmission from All for One fully came in the league started trying their hardest not to look in the kids direction or at least not make it obvious.

"Hello Tomura"

"Master this is your first contact in awhile has something happened"

"Not at all in fact that's exactly why I've made contact. I noticed a drop in activity. Can you explain the reason behind this?"

Shigaraki shifted slightly on his feet; he hadn't realized their activity had dropped all that much, but when thinking about it it does make sense they've all been too focused on the baby to plan extensive missions. That's it!, he can claim they're planning something big.

"I recently received some information from our informant so I've been planning but in order for this mission to be successful it requires more members in our party. This has caused activity to drop while looking for players."

"I see perhaps I could be of some assistance. I recently finished a new nomu if the cause requires I can lend it to you but make sure to bring it back. I don't want a repeat of Hosu."

"Yes Master, I'll contact you when the plans are completed."

"Alright, but first enlighten me why does there appear to be what looks like a child's toy on the floor."

At that moment it felt like all of the league's hearts stopped at once. They were all scavenging their brains trying to make up an excuse without it taking long enough for All for One to pick up on something being wrong. Surprisingly it was Kurogiri who spoke up with an excuse first.

"We had a purse snatcher come in earlier who was carrying a quite big bag. It was most likely a mothers diaper bag and the toy fell out while he was rummaging through it. Allow me to dispose of it." Kurogiri proceeded to open up a warp gate under the toy to presumably get rid of it.

Right after Kurogiri finished warping the toy, All for One cut off the communication with them. The league collectively let out a sigh of relief and turned to where they expected to find Hikaru, their little light, to still be sitting only to see he was not there.

Toga immediately started panicking, "Where did he go? Was he seen? Did All for One take him?" The rest of the league couldn't say anything as they were thinking the same exact thing well all except one of them.

"Relax Hikaru is quite alright. I warped him away to your room upstairs while All for One was distracted",Kurogiri said as he warped Hikaru onto the bar countertop holding the toy that had been warped to him just moments ago. Hikaru just stared at them completely unaware that only moments before they were panicking believing All for One had taken him somehow.

Toga picked him up off the bar and turned back to face the others, "That was way too close of a call. He could have been seen or worse."

The others agreed and didn't really think much as to why until Spinner spoke up. "Ok I can't be the only one thinking this, but why didn't we tell All for One about Hikaru?"

This caused the others to actually pause and think about it. Why didn't they tell All for One about him? More importantly, why did Shigaraki cover Hikaru? Shigaraki was the closest to All for One next to Kurogiri which begs the next question, Why did Kurogiri find it necessary to lie, he never lied to All for One so why now and about this? This would all be answered soon, as Kurogiri was the one to answer Spinner's question.

"It would be wise to avoid letting the Master know about Hikaru. He does not see things the same way you all have been. Where you see Hikaru as just an innocent child Master would not. He would see Hikaru as a potential nomu, another successor like Shigaraki, or as leverage if it seemed like any of you even thought about deflecting or selling him out."

They all stayed quiet as what Kurogiri said sank in. This had hit some of them harder than they would like to admit. After what felt like an eternity Dabi spoke up, "Ok so how do we keep All for One satisfied enough for Hikaru to remain safe and a secret?"

Shigaraki was the one to respond this time, "We continue functioning like normal. We'll contact Giran to find us more people to use for our next attack and I'll start planning."

Shigarakis answer in itself raised some questions from the other members. Toga spoke up, "Well then what's the plan?"

"Another attack on the students of UA."
