"I don't know you," Jimin blurted out, instinctively distancing himself from the potential encounter. His words hung in the air, heavy with confusion.Jimin's heart raced as fear consumed him. Without another word, he quickly turned and ran away from Mr. Lee, who watched him with a confused look on his face.
"Is he afraid of me? Do I look like a mafia?" Mr. Lee pondered, a hint of amusement in his voice as he imagined himself as a powerful crime lord. But his laughter dwindled as his phone began to ring, displaying an unfamiliar caller ID. With a sense of trepidation, Mr. Lee answered the call.
"How much time do you need to find him?" a menacing voice bellowed through the receiver, instantly striking fear into Mr. Lee's heart.
"Boss, I am trying my best to find him, but he seems to have vanished without a trace," Mr. Lee replied, his voice trembling.
"I... I think you don't love your life," the other man asserted, his voice laced with sinister undertones. Mr. Lee felt a chill run down his spine, like icy tendrils crawling their way up his back, threatening to consume him whole. His mind raced, desperately trying to grasp the full extent of the danger he now found himself in.
Summoning every ounce of courage he could muster, Mr. Lee responded, his voice wavering, "Boss, please... Please give me some more time. I will find him, no matter what it takes." An anxious plea spilled from his lips, hopeful that his words would appease the ominous figure on the other end of the line.
A chilling chuckle reverberated through the phone, cascading into Mr. Lee's ears like a haunting melody. The sound sent shards of cold fear slicing through his heart, intensifying the darkness that clouded his thoughts. The other man's voice dripped with sadistic satisfaction as he delivered his verdict.
"One week," the voice snarled, dripping with menace. "You have only one week."
The words hung in the thick silence, heavy with an unimaginable weight. With a swift click, the call abruptly ended, leaving Mr. Lee staring at his trembling hands, the weight of his failure crashing down upon him.
In a fit of frustrated anger, Mr. Lee tossed his phone across the room, the shrill sound of shattering glass punctuating his despair. His breathing ragged, he muttered to himself, his voice laced with regret and bitterness.
"I regret meeting him," Mr. Lee whispered, a mixture of resentment and sorrow seeping into his words. "He is not less than a devil."
Time skips
Yn stirred from her slumber, her senses awakened by the gentle patter of rain on her window. With a soft sigh, she rose from her bed and made her way towards the source of the sound - the window that offered a view into the gray world outside.
"It's raining again," Yn murmured, her voice laced with a mix of calmness and melancholy. Her eyes scanned the damp scene before her, a surreal beauty painting the streets in shimmering hues.
As Yn took in the sight, her gaze shifted to the small figure nestled on the bed. Mochi, her beloved cat, lay peacefully, oblivious to the sorrowful thoughts that clouded Yn's mind. A tender smile graced her lips as she approached Mochi, his tiny form swathed in blissful slumber.
Leaning over, Yn pressed a gentle kiss to Mochi's forehead, her love for him radiating from every fiber of her being. She couldn't help but envelop him in a warm embrace, cherishing the softness of his presence. A wave of adoration washed over her, and she found herself whispering, caught in a bittersweet moment.
"Oh, my... I could hug you for eternity," Yn whispered softly, her words caressing the air. "You're so tender, so precious... How could anyone even consider harming this beautiful little creature?"
