Being a profiler could put your life in danger, but there were some good parts about the job. You got to save lifes and stop some cruelty. And you got to play poker with Spencer Reid. You had been chosen to go undercover for some case you were on, where you would need to play poker. The problem was, you didnt know how to. Now, you knew Spencer was very good at all that gambling and especially poker. He was even banned from all kinds of different casinos, due to his special talent. And for the last hour, he had been trying to explain the rules and demonstrate for you, but you simply weren't getting it. It was all too complicated and it just made your head hurt. Perhaps, it could be fun, if you were good at it and actually understood it. Your eyebrows were constantly furrowed and your eyes were travelling from your cards, to the table infront of you and to Spencer. Spencer was talking, and yes you could hear his voice and words, but you couldnt put it together. Honestly, it was like he was talking gibberish.

You had been sitting on the floor, surrounding a small black coffee table in Spencers little, cozy apartment. You were practically sitting next to Spencer, but you had moved a little to the side so he couldn't see your cards.

You groaned, and let the cards fall out your grip revealing them to Spencer. He stopped talking, and his body almost freezed when he saw your frustration and disinterest. You yawned, covering your mouth with your hand. "I'm sorry, you're not boring me, it's just getting late" You waved off, rubbing your eyes. Spencer sighed deeply, before rubbing his own eyes behind his glasses. "Yeah..." He almost whispered, his eyes staring at the black table. You threw your arms on the table, to rest your head on them. "Are you even trying, Y/N?"

Doing new things could easily make you bored because its unfamiliar. You dont know how to do it. A bad habit.

"Yes, but i'm just not getting it" You sat up again, and threw your hands down on your laps. Then you used your hands to brush your hair of your sight. "You're not motivated enough, Y/N!" He chuckled, and gestured to the cards. The light in the room you were in was warm and dim. You nodded. "Yeah yeah, whatever" You shrugged, getting tired of it. "Y/N, if you dont know how to play this, then we can't get on with this case. It's quite important" He reminded you, with slightly raised eyebrows. His voice still being soft and light.

You shrugged a slight frown forming on your face. It was hard. Really. Yes, there are other things you're good at, but right now you need to be good. And you weren't even good at it.

"Right" You sighed sharply. "You're not motivated enough!" He exclaimed in a slightly cheery voice, his hands gesturing to the table where the game sat.

You scoffed a little at his accusation, and looked to the side up in the air, in disbelief. "What?!" You said, and turned to see him again, with your arms crossed on the table.
