THIRTEEN YEARS LATER

I turned over on my bed to look at my alarm clock. "Ugh another dreadful day" I grunted as I hopped in the shower. I tied my dreads in a pony tail and put my uniform on. I went down stairs to see Yolanda make breakfast in Tony's shirt. "Hey mama" I said kissing her on the cheek. "I see you and Tony a thing now" I said getting a plate. "Been" she said laughing. She grabbed me and started dancing to the Spanish music that blasted through the stereo. Tony came down in his velvet robe that had BT on it.

"Aye watch yo self" he said to me. "Aww jelly much?" she said giving him a Peck on the lips. "Nah" he said smacking her booty. "Ewww got to go" I said headed for the door. "Aye come on Rollie I need to go I can't do this every Morning" I said to the big Rottweiler. He growled and jumped on me licking my face. I laughed and wrestled him for freedom. "After school" I said throwing a tennis ball down the hall.

"Aye papito" Yolanda said tossing me a bag. "Don't worry" I said stuffing it in my bookbag. I got in my early birthday present. It was a mercedes benz 560sec. It was all black with white interior. I started it and went to school. "Late again Mr. Carter" Mr. Georgestown said. "Trouble at home" I lied. I looked back at Nicki. She rolled her eyes and laughed. "Okay guys hoped y'all studied" he said closing the door. "Shit" I mumbled. I gave Mr. Georgestown a weak smile.

I looked at Nicki. She pointed at her phone. He went to sit behind his desk. I checked my phone to see answers from her. Dam I loved that girl. After school I sat on the bleachers watching the football team practice. "Hey Nick" Nicki said wrapping her arms round my neck as she nibble on my ear. We went around the school to make out. "Thanks for saving my ass" I said moving the hair out her face. "My pleasure" she said grabbing my booty. "I told you I don't like that" I said. "But I do" she replied chuckling. "And What's this I hear about you and Keisha?" she asked pushing me away. I sighed and looked her in her eyes. "It was nothing. I ain't sleep with her" I said honestly.

"What y'all did then?" Nicki asked. "She just kissed me and gave me a hand job" I said. "Just? I'm really tired of this bullshit" she said. "Well I'm tired of you not claiming this" I said showing my stomach. "Ugh you know my daddy the principal and if Mr. McKnight finds out we're dead" she said. "Did you apply for any college yet?" she asked. I looked over at the field to see the football players headed to the locker room.

"Hold on" I said walking over to the locker room. "Aye Carter you not allowed in there" coach O'Neil yelled. "Shut up" I mumbled. "Aye I ain't playin with yo black ass" he fired back. I sighed and looked at him. "Fine" I said turning back. Later that night I stayed for a game. "And he's at the 10...and TOUCHDOWN!!!! You're Vladimir Golden Trouts win the game" the announcer screamed. After the game I leaned on a wall with my backpack. "Aye Christian where...he took off running. "Shit" I mumbled as I jumped in my car and followed him. "Puedes correr pero no esconderte" I yelled. I pulled out my 9mm and curved the corner to an empty lot. I shot into the air. "No te muevas" I said as I exit the car holding the gun towards him as I grabbed my bag. "You've been avoiding me" I said tossing the bag.

"Get it" I yelled. "Look I wasn't avoiding you. I was getting money...for you" he said as he picked up the bag. I stepped closer and pistol whipped him. "Look what you done to yourself" I said. I dug in his pocket and took money. "BT would've smoked your ass" I said kicking him in the stomach. "I want out" he moaned as he spat blood out his mouth. "You got a contract" I said throwing him $200. "15 more kilos" I said getting in my whip.

When I arrived home I fell on the couch. "You found him" Tony said walking through the sliding glass door. "Yeah" I said as I flipped through the channels. "I got business to take care of" he said walking Rollie over to me. He jumped on the couch to lay on me. There was a knock at the door. I looked at my watch. I flipped the channel to the surveillance camera. It was Moses. "Aye my mom blew a fuse over me getting some dime pregnant" he said as if it were nothing.

"You already got a kid....kid" I said closing the door. "Yolanda mad over nothing. I'll just throw her a band and tell her first comes abortion then she could keep the change" he replied going through my fridge. "Moses how careless of you" Yolanda yelled as she unlocked the front door. Moses looked at me. "She got a key" I said shrugging my shoulders. "Deja de gritar" he said climbing the stairs. I laughed as I grabbed my keys. "Don't tell me to stop yelling. I'll yell. Cause honey I can YELLLL!!!" Yolanda screamed.

I arrived at Nicki house. I climbed the side and crawled through her window. "You need to lock these before creeps come in" I said kissing her on the cheek. "Like you" she said hitting me. "What are you doing here?" she whispered. "Yolanda going off on Moses" I replied as I climbed on her bed. "You never answered my question" she said laying between my legs. "What?" I asked. "Did you apply for any college?" she said. "Ugh... Yeah....ok...I ain't yet" I replied.

"Nicholas Maurice Carter" she said punching me. "If you think I'm going to marry some uneducated stay at home nigga. You must of lost yo negro mind" she snapped. "Aye look I got things planned. I've been making plans. Baby I've been making plans for you" I said kissing her neck. When things were getting far she sent me home.
