the morning sun was shining brightly as the birds chirped extremely loudly.

the sleeping girl by the name of kang jiyul was fast asleep under the covers of her bed as she snored.

footsteps made its way towards her bed and curtains that were drawed closed.

the one by the window spread the curtains wide open, allowing the sunlight to shine through the glass, hitting jiyul in the face which caused her to groan in annoyance, turning her body the opposite way.

the one by her bed sprayed cold water on her face with a spray bottle as she immediately wiped it off, sitting up and glaring at the two people in her room.

by the window would always be kang jaemin, her twin brother while the one by the bed would be kang jaesoo, her other twin brother. the three were triplets.

“what.” jiyul mumbled, rubbing her eyes as she squinted at the two males in her room. “it's the first day of highschool stupid”

“already..?”

“yeah, so hurry up and change into the uniform.” jaesoo spoke, jaemin nodding as he continued “mom and dad left breakfast for us already, we'll wait for you downstairs”

the two left the girls' room, leaving her alone as she got up from her bed and took a quick shower before changing into her uniform.

grabbing her bag and phone, she walked out her room and going down the stairs, olacing her bag alongside her brothers's ones on the sofa of the living room.

“let's eat and go, i think yejun is waiting for us” jaesoo said, drinking his orange juice. jaemin and jiyul nodded quickly finishing up their food as the placed it in the dishwasher.

the three took their bags and put on their shoes before leaving their house.

as jaesoo said, yejun was in fact, waiting infront of their house, staring at his phone.

“yejun!” the girl called out, running towards the boy and giving him a hug. “hey jiyul!” yejun replied, returning the affection.

kwon yejun, the trios cousin from their mom's side.

“hey soo, hey min” yejun greeted, smiling and waving at the other two. “yo, jiyul stop hugging him”

“no”
“jiyul.”
“fine!”

jiyul let go of the hug and instead wrapped her arm around yejun's arm. “let's go!” jiyul said, pointing towards the direction of their school and marched onwards.

jiyul is super close to yejun as the two were always together ever since they were babies. her favourite person will always be yejun and vice versa.

the four teens walked side by side as they got closer to the school, jiyul eventually becoming more quiet and her hold that was on yejuns' arm became tighter and he could tell she was nervous.

the girl was never into big crowds of people, even if it was at school. she would usually be fine if the people she was close to was beside her.

“i hope we're in the same class, jun” jiyul mumbled, looking at the floor as they walked.

“it's okay, yul, you know i'll never leave you.” yejun answered, patting her head with his free hand as the reached the front of the school that already had lots of students talking, perhaps it was their seniors or some first years just like them.

a senior had walked up to the four and waved, “morning! are you four first years?” he asked, looking at the four. jaesoo nodded, “yeah! where are we supposed to go?”

“i was expecting that. good morning, my name is sung hanbin! i'll show you the way to the principal's office for your class and schedule and he'll get a teacher to show you to your class!” hanbin happily said, leading the way into the school as the four followed behind.

“this is the principal's office, i'll get going now!” hanbin said, leaving the four infront of the office. jaemin knocked on the door, a muffled “come in!” was heard as he opened it the four walking in.

“good morning, sir! we're here for our class?” jaesoo spoke, bowing.

“ah yes, first years. i'm mr lee. your names?”

the four introduced themselves, as the principal looked for their schedules in his folders for first years.

“ah, yejun and jiyul are in class 1-A, jaesoo is in 1-B and jaemin is in 1-C, here are your schedules and please wait a second while i call your teachers over.” the principal said, pressing onto a call button as a teacher walked in.

“mrs kim will be leading you three to your classes, have a good first day kids!”

the four walked out, following the teacher as she led them to their classes.

“bye soo bye min, i'll see you two later.” jiyul said, waving as yejun also waved at the two boys before they walked into their class.

their class was already halfway filled with students as the two looked around, yejun pulled her arm to sit at the back.

“it'll be more comfortable here, i think. you can sit at the window, yul” yejun suggested, placing their bags on the floor underneath the table.

“hello!” a girl greeted from infront of them. “not to pry, but are you two dating? you guys look cute together!” she asked, receiving a confused look from yejun. “ah, no..we're actually cousins.”

the girl got embarrassed and apologized for jumping to conclusions as yejun and jiyul assured her that it was fine as it happened quite often.

“i'm so sorry once again! ah, let's be friends?” the girl asked, looking at the two as yejun smiled, looking at jiyul who was super quiet. yejun patted her head, giving jiyul reassurance that nothing will happen as she nodded her head agreeing.

jiyul really wanted to be friends with the girl but she didn't really know what to say.

“ah, sorry, she's pretty shy with new people, so she'll take awhile to warm up to you, if that's okay?” yejun spoke up as the girl nodded in understandment. “that's completely okay i understand!”

“right! i'm lee yejoo! and you two are?” yejoo spoke, smiling as she introduced herself.

“i'm kwon yejun!”
“i'm kang jiyul..uhm, i have two twin brothers so we're triplets...?” jiyul spoke, loud enough for yejoo to hear.

“omg, that's so cool! tell me more!” yejoo asked, eyes showing much interest towards jiyul as yejun stared at the two interacting girls.

‘it's nice to see jiyul being more open towards others’ yejun thought, smiling as he joined in their conversation.
