That night, John sneaks into the sheriff's office and grabs the keys from the hook while Ringo, George, and Brian were asleep.
Paul was also sleeping in his cell, but he wakes up when he hears the keys jingling and sees John outside the cell. "John! Am I glad to see..." Said Paul, but John covers his mouth. "Not so loud, you'll wake the sheriff!" Said John through a whisper. "Sorry." Paul said quietly. "Anyway, I'm here to break you out." John said. He opens the cell door.
"Perhaps I should stay." Said Paul. "But you're innocent! You were just a witness! I was the one who borrowed the train." Said John sadly. "It's great that you're deciding to come clean, but I have one of those guilty faces only a mother could love." Paul said. "Now let's move, we gotta get out of here before the sheriff sees us!" John said.
The Blackstone Rangers make their escape, but Paul stays behind for a brief moment. "See ya, George, I'm escaping now." Said Paul. "That's nice. Goodbye, Paul." Said George in his sleep. He suddenly wakes up after realizing what Paul said was actually real. "Escaping?! Oh no!" George said.
