Chapter 9 (Ascension Through Trials)

Previous Scene:

After The Battle with Tetsuya, team Galactic has arrived on planet Kurei which was a matter of surprise. Now what situation lies after that? They're eager to find that out.

Boboiboy and his friends were resting when Sifu approached them.

Sifu: Hey there outsiders! As you know, you all were brought here by me to this lonely planet. You were found unconscious and badly injured. I thought you'd make good company for me and Acci, so I saved you.

Boboiboy: Waah! Okay... At least we are safe.

Yuvi: Who's Acci?

Sifu: Oh you'll find out soon don't worry. Not that he's a big deal. He just happens to be the only other person left with me in the southern region.

Kokochi: Anyway, we're not at peace yet. We should start thinking about what to do now. We need to get stronger. To think that all of us together couldn't defeat that monster...

Everyone looks down in dismay

Sifu: Monster, you say? What was his name again?

Boboiboy: Tetsuya Wataregane.

Sifu: I see...

Kaizo: So, you're a resident of Kurei, right?

Sifu: As far as I know, yes.

Kaizo draws his blade, determination gleaming in his eyes.

Kaizo: The residents of Planet Kurei are considered strong if not the strongest in terms of military. If I can beat one of them, especially a war survivor, I can gauge my limits.

Sifu: Now, now, that's a misguided way of understanding your limits...

Boboiboy and his friends exclaimed and questioned with a tone of curiosity, "A war?"

Kokochi: Yeah a terrible civil war broke out in this place causing huge atrocities and havoc. Rumours say that Shukrį Kurr were involved in this massacre.

"Shuk-- what!?", Boboiboy asks with a goofy face.

Kokochi: The Shukrį Kurr is a heinous organization of 10 mysterious creatures leaded by a soul. The exact translation of this name is umm.. well... unknown, so don't ask me. We still don't know what language that is. But one thing is certain. They are the embodiment of evil. Kind of what u call Satanic. Besides, they are quite strong and cunning, leading to their survival over the past years.

Gopal: OwO. Sounds scary! Abaa!

Boboiboy: Stop acting like a child Gopal ..._...

Suddenly in midst of their discussion a sound of whip blew in,

Without warning, Kaizo charges toward Sifu, his blade slicing through the air with deadly precision.

Sifu: sighs

Sifu sidesteps effortlessly, his movements fluid and precise. Kaizo's blade cuts through empty space.

Sifu: "Air Art: Endless Blades"

A torrent of air slashes erupts from Sifu, each one a deadly blade of wind. Kaizo's eyes widen as he tries to evade, but the slashes are too numerous and too fast. He raises his blade, deflecting as many as he can, but several still manage to land, tearing at his clothes and drawing thin lines of blood.

Kaizo grits his teeth, determination burning brighter. He plants his feet firmly on the ground and charges again, this time with even more ferocity.
