Elaine Langley is best described as Luz's best friend and ride or die and vice versa. The two first met in a highway accident as a result of unprecedented bad luck starting with one stupid driver. Many lives were claimed, and a lot of people were declared either dead or missing. A couple of days went by when Elaine wouldn't see her father; Days turned to weeks, weeks to months, and months to ten years. Elaine was fostered by the Nocedas, and since she and Luz met, they were inseparable because of their shared sense of humor and geeky sides. Elaine always had a fascination with fantasy, especially other worlds.
