Beach Day

Recap

"Rose!" I heard her calling my name, I got up and waited for her to give me a hug.

"Hey Saphira, how are you? It's been so long." I said hugging her.

"I'm fine, it has been a while and I really missed you."

"Isn't that the daughter of the Spanish Mafia?" I heard Nagata ask.

Saphira broke the hug and introduced herself to Nagata. "Hello I am Saphira Carrera, the next Spanish Mafia leader." She said in a bow. "It's nice to finally meet you Mr. Akabane." She said after she stood back up and smiled.

"Rose!" I heard a familiar voice coming up from behind. I turned around and saw Liam running towards us.

"Who's he? He looks familiar. Wait, is that?" Saphira said as she was hanging on me like I was a support beam.

"Hey Liam." I said waving. "Liam Hernandez, American Mafia leader." I introduced him to Saphira once he got closer. "Now that the whole gang is here, let's go swim!" I said and everyone but Nagata agreed. I tried to go to the water with the other two but Nagata pulled me aside.

"Today was supposed to be us getting to know each other not gather friends." He tried his best to keep from sounding pissed that I invited them but failed.

"Don't worry, I mainly invited them because Saphira needed a good man and Liam needed a good woman. Saphira was broken after the last one dumped her after coming back from a trip and Liam told me how he was manipulated so he shot his last girlfriend. Don't worry my logic and matching skills are better then my love life." I said and Nagata just looked at me.

"You better be right about this. And did you just say you aren't going to choose him?"

"Yeah? Why? I can only see being friends or colleagues with him not a lover. Besides he drinks way too much for my liking." I said the last part with a shrug. "Anyways, let's go swim!" I pulled him into the water. I splashed Nagata and he decided to fight back. "Wait let's pause the water fight for a second please." Nagata surprisingly stopped. "How about this, I saw a beach volleyball in the stuff Nagata brought so let's play." I said as I got out of the water and veryone seemed to agree. I got the volleyball from Nagata's bag and we found a net.

"Alright everyone, since there are four of us I have four straws, we each pick a straw. There are two short ones and two long ones, these will determine our teams." Liam said. Once we all drew straws we got with our partners for this. I was with Nagata while Liam and Saphira were a team.

"Hold on we need a referee and I know just the guy." I grabbed my phone and dialed my favorite sniper friend Craig.

"Yello."

"I need your help at the beach. I need you here now!" I made it sound urgent so he'd get here quicker. He got here in under 10 minutes.

"You needed me?"

"Yes, we need a referee so I called you."

"So you called me here just to be a ref?"

"Yup! Now do your job please."

"Fine, everyone get on your sides." All four of us got in our positions and the game started. After a full ten minutes of playing beach volleyball the last point got scored. "Team Rose got a score of 20 while team Saphira got a score of 18."

"Good game guys!" Saphira spoke.

"Lets go have dinner now, barbecue at my place!" I said. "Saphira, Liam, Craig, you all need to come over to my place for a barbecue. My 'mother' is at a bar right now, and changes of her coming to the house tonight is very slim so you can stay the night." I said. We all went to my place for a barbecue, Nagata and Liam did the grilling while I got the condiments prepared. We are eating burgers. I set the table up near the pool and by to time everything was done it was 7:30. We ate dinner, swam in the pool, and conversed about the upcoming Mafia Ball.

"So what dress are you going to wear Rose?" Saphira asked me.

"I'm not going to wear one."

"What do you mean your not going to wear one!?" Liam spoke this time.

"I don't like dresses as much and Saphira does. So I just wanna wear a suit."

"Nope not going to happen, we are going to your closet right now Missy. And boys, you will give your input on the dresses. Off to Roses room we go!" Saphira dragged me into my closet which was big enough to fit 15 people in comfortably, while the guys just sat on my couch in my room.

{Nagata's POV}

"

Try this on!" And "No!" Was all I could hear from the room. After a bit of bickering the girls finally came out. Rose was wearing a beautiful red formal fit dress that had strings to tie it on the back.
The Dress

"So what do you guys think?" Saphira asked.

"It would look better if she were a guy in my opinion but she does look hot." That Craig guy said with a shrug.

"Like he said, hot. But like him, as a friend I would pass." Liam put his opinion into the mix.

"And you Mr. I'm the one taking her from her bestie?" Rose slightly giggled at her friends comment.

"First off, her dads letting me steal her from you and second off, she looks better then any woman I've ever seen. She looks better than words can describe."

"Okay.that was option one now for option two." She said pushing Rose back into the closet. After a few minutes they came back out except this time it was a black strapless dress with a slit in the side exposing her leg.
The Dress

"Any thoughts on this one?" Saphira asked.

"I prefer the other one because you can hide your thigh knives." Craig once again answered first.

"I agree." Liam said.

"I prefer the one you feel more comfortable in." Was all I said.

"Okay, everyone's input is in. The red dress it is!" Saphira said. She seemed super excited for this event.

{Rose's POV}

After I changed out of the dress I walked back into my room, I showed everyone the rooms they were staying in. The only person who got a room by themselves was Craig. After we all got settled into the rooms we all fell asleep.
