'So that's it?' Dad didn't seem convinced. 'Yes! It isn't that complicated.' 'But...' 'NO BUTS!' I exclaimed. This is getting stupidly out of hand. The plan was to gather all of the army available, train them the best possible, and quite literally just mass invade the taken land. That's it, and yet, my dad just doesn't seem to get it!
10 weeks went by, and my birthday is coming. I don't really think I want any birthday presents for the moment, since I haven't gotten anything for the past 2 years, I even almost forgot I have a birthday to begin with. The fact that I reminded myself of this just seems to make matters worse-the days seem to go slower, I barely focus, and I'm just distracted in general. 10, 9, 8, 7... it gets worse and worse the more I think about the coming days leading to my birthday.
5 days until my birthday, and I am severely distracted to the point that even the weakest of training seems impossible.
4 days and adrenaline kicks in.
3. I fainted with overexcitement.
2, I nearly died to a recoil from the sandbags.
1, and I barely could move.
Then there was 0. I was so distracted in fact I started hallucinating about having the biggest birthday party in the world, peacefully. Until I was slapped back into the cruel reality that my birthday was non-existent anymore. However this time, not by myself, or even by any soldiers who are constantly against me who brought them into the lethal battle that lost us half the battalion we had. It was...a meteor. Many panicked. Some remain silent, and some of us are already heavily injured if not dead under the meteor itself. I cautiously stepped close to it, one step at a time. And it cracked. Wide open as if a hammer had hammered it perfectly in the middle. Inside the unworldly meteor was a human. A scientist, although very tired and concussed.
*Hey! Author here! The previous chapter links to this one, so work out who the scientist is!*
