Sabine's POV
We went to the Forgotten fields to set off the drones to spy on the Keepers of Aideen. This girl is a headache and I have to work with her. She has a pretty face, almost my type, but that doesn't make her any less of a nuisance.
"Don't even think about running away, I'm faster than whatever is chasing you in your nightmares." I took a breath and looked at the bunch of boxes all around us. Y/N already started unpacking them. Good girl. I bent down to work on it as well.
"This is where you turn them on." After pressing a button, a lamp lit up and the thing started hoovering above the ground. I got out the papers for the protocol for Sands. Y/N shall do it, that part is even more boring than the whole mission itself! "Here, you write. This is drone A001 and it goes to.. Valedale." Y/N started noting it down and I went to send off the drone.
Huh?! It's not moving! I inspected it more closely and found "no location" written on the display. Damn it! One of the workers, probably Jay's guard Esma, forgot to set the coordinates! I don't know how to do this human technology bullshit. I tried to inspect the drone and found some buttons but it's no use if I don't know the coordinates! Yeez I don't know how to do this and all of that infront of that newcomer! I can't ask her for help, that would be pathetic!
"Umm.. Are the coordinates written down anywhere?" I asked casually.
"No. Do you need them?"
"Well duh! The fucking paper must have gone lost then." I lied. "Well do you happen to know them by any chance? I don't want to figure them out myself right now"
"Why? Don't you know how to?" Y/N laughed and I snapped the back of her head, leading her to shut up and stop grinning.
"Just do it then if you think you're soo smart." I took away her papers. "You set them off and I will do the protocol." Y/N started doing her job, rolling her eyes, but without any backtalk. She took out a map and I watched as she gently traced her fingers on the paper. "X:275 Y:100" she mumbled and started pressing some buttons and the drone flew away. I was amazed by how easily she managed that task and seeing her face lighting up after her success was cute. I mean it wasn't cute. Whatever.
"Don't get too proud dumbass" I told her to get away from my thoughts. Yeah that's what she is. An annoying dumbass, not cute.
"Shut up, or do you wanna change tasks." she said with a now pissed face.
"I am the one calling the shots." I glared at her and she went back to work. "The next one goes to... Nilmer's Highland?" I told her, rather confused, but she ignored that. Since when do we send drones there? Well, might as well keep an eye on all of Jorvik.
"X:154 Y:219, Ah the circus.." she said before she sent another drone flying. Y/N isn't too bad at this job. I won't tell her that though.

Y/N's POV
We came back from the mission, it wasn't all too bad when Sabine isn't acting like a complete asshole. I am still not sure what all of this work is for though.
"Ayo, Y/N, you are here!" Tay waved me.
"Hey, what's up?" He seemed to want to say something to me. I suppose he was curious to know how my first mission went.
"There is strawberry cake in the cafeteria! Strawberry! Can you believe it? Go before it's all gone, this is a once in a lifetime chance!" I just stared at him. Do we get desserts that rarely?
"I mean sure, will you come with me?" I felt comfortable with him around.
"No, I need to help Chiyo open up a jar now, besides, I don't think I could resist another piece of cake, I can't eat too much" He said smiling, already making his way out of the room, his voice fading in the hallway.
