Chapter 1 The Birth of El Cadejo

On March 21st A Boy was born in El Salvador, his hair Darker than The Night he was born into, his eyes a deep crimson and bloody red, No one understood how a child would be born with such eyes of the devil, The nurses cried in fear Saying he was the son of Satan, a disgusting creature of hate.

Six Years later, on April 6th, A Baby girl was born of the same woman in Wales, with a new man, She had Hair whiter than the snow that falls with curls of the wind and eyes of a deep blue ocean, The Doctor, shocked, cried out, 'A Daughter born of an angel has been brought upon us!'

15 Years Later.

April 25th exactly at 15:30 I was out of school, free from the torture of being forced to sit in a class for hours on end learning about shit we already know. I wish I could get homeschooled but my dad said I only have the rest of this year and then one more year left then I won't be here, "That's 365 days that I have to put up with this nightmare." I spoke.

"That's so annoying though, and that's so long, I would just refuse to go in." My friend, Daniel, said sighing.
“Then why are you still here Niel?”
Jesse said popping from out of nowhere, in all honesty that girl can just, appear, but she had a point, "Yeah she's right, if you can just refuse to come into school then why do you still go in?" I asked, looking at him, He always walked on my right while Jesse walked on my left, "1. Don't ever call me Niel again and 2 Because if I stopped coming in I wouldn't be able to see Mr Johnson and he is so hot." Daniel said in a dreamy voice.
"You are a right embarrassment Daniel, Mr Johnson is ugly and way too old for you." Jesse spoke almost gagging at what Daniel had said, I shook my head and tried my best to block out their bickering.

Me, Daniel and Jesse have been friends since we started Secondary School, I had met Jesse first since she was in my classes and then Daniel in p.e, "Hey, zoner, you good?" Daniel asked waving a hand in front of my face, I looked at him in confusion, "Zoner? Really?" I asked, raising my eyebrow, "Yeah like stoner except for getting high you zone out." Daniel explained, I look at Jesse and she shrugs in confusion, I turn back to Daniel, "But anyway, What's up with you? You've been acting really weird lately." Daniel said, bumping my shoulder slightly.

"He's right, after February you've been all closed off, what happened?" Jesse asked placing her hand on my shoulder, "My mom died, I barely knew her and she's already gone." I sighed, "oh, well if it makes you feel better, I can be your mom." Daniel said, me and Jesse turned our head, "what? What did I say?" Daniel asked.

I chuckled and shook my head, "Daniel, god knows you wouldn't be a good mother, that's why he made you a boy." Jesse said, "I would be a great mother," Daniel said in shock, he placed his hand on his chest as if he was offended, which he probably was, "Daniel your own mother didn't trust you to babysit your ten year old brother." I said crossing my arms.

"Oh, whatever," Daniel said rolling his eyes, "What do you mean you barely knew your mother?" Jesse asked, I looked down and shrugged, "I don't know, she was always so.. Shut off, she barely spoke to me or my dad, I mean she only moved in with us 3 years ago." I explained crossing my arms and looking back up taking a deep breath, "She had secrets, big ones, she wrote to me, I guess she knew she was dying." I said taking out the letters that were in my bag, "Woah, what does it say?" Daniel asked, "I haven't looked yet, I'm scared to see, what if its like debt she owes? Or she's secretly a part of a gang?"

"I don't think your mom is a part of a gang, maybe it's an apology?" Jesse suggested I could only shrug though,
"Well we're at your house now, can we come in so we can figure this out together?" Jesse asked with a small smile, Jesse always loved puzzles and figuring out secrets, that's something we all have in common.

"I guess it's time to explore." I said opening the door to let them in.
