"Goodnight everyone!"
"Goodnight! go and sleep now babies!" Heeseung pushed Niki, Jungwon and Sunoo towards their room.
"Alright!"
"Alright hyung! Dont push us!" They dramatic whine.
"But I don't want to sleep yet!"
"I want to practice shooting!"
"Tomorrow! Do it tomorrow!" Jake and Jay started to help Heeseung by dragged their body."Go to your bed now or else you'll sleeping in second basement alone in those cold and dark place!" Heeseung threaten them.
"Hey! That's not fair! We didn't do anything wrong!"
"Yeah you are not sleeping now is already a sin alright!"
"Wait what?!"
"Its almost past midnight children. You have to sleep now"
"We're not children anymore! We're already past 20 years old hyung!"
"Yep still a baby"
"But- ""Ahem!" Sunghoon and Winter who's behind them clear his throat. "Do we have a problem here?" Sunghoon look at them with his dark eyes. "Ouh shit- " Jungwon cursed slowly.
"Well they-"
"No nothing hyung! We're going to our bed now" Sunoo nervously cut Jake words.
"Huh but you just now?!" Jake looks at them in disbelief."Goodnight, hyungdeul! Winter noona!" Sunoo called out as he quickly turned around, dragging Jungwon and Niki towards their room before they could say a word.
"Oh gosh," he added with a playful sigh, causing the older members to chuckle and laugh. A collective sigh of contentment filled the hallway as they began to disperse.
"Alright, we should get some rest too. See you all in the morning," Heeseung waved his hand before retreating to his room.
"Goodnight!" The remaining members echoed, parting ways until only Winter and Sunghoon were left in the hallway, their eyes meeting in the soft light.
They began walking side by side, a comfortable silence settling between them until Winter broke it with a soft voice. "I'm sad to leave this place. It's strange how quickly I got used to it here... I don't usually adjust to new places so easily. And I don't have many friends back home, so the thought of leaving tomorrow... it's making me really sad." Her voice trailed off, a hint of melancholy lacing her words.
Sunghoon listened intently, his heart sinking at the thought of her leaving. He turned to her, studying the way the soft light reflected in her eyes, and spoke quietly, "Honestly, I'm even sadder about leaving you."
Winter paused, turning to face him fully. Her eyes searched his, finding the warmth and affection she had come to cherish. His usual confident demeanor softened, replaced by something more vulnerable, more real.
"I've tried so hard to deny it," he confessed, his voice dropping to a whisper as they stopped in front of her door. "But I think I finally understand how I feel."
Winter's heart raced as she took in his words. She looked into his eyes, seeing the same gentleness that had drawn her to him, the same gentleness that contrasted so sharply with the fierce gaze he reserved for his enemies.
"I don't think I can hide this feeling any longer, Sunghoon," she murmured, her voice trembling slightly. "This... this tingling feeling in my heart. If I don't say it now, I don't think I'll ever be brave enough again." She took a deep breath, her hands shaking as she placed them on his shoulders, rising up on her toes to close the distance between them.
Their faces were so close now, their breaths mingling as they looked into each other's eyes, the world around them fading away.
"I like you, Park Sunghoon," she whispered, her voice breaking with the weight of her confession. The words left her lips, and she felt as though a heavy burden had been lifted, but she wasn't finished.
