"Good morning, Dr. Harlow." Derek greeted with a slight smirk as Devyn left the coffee shop with a cup of coffee in hand. Today was a big event for Seattle and an even bigger event for Seattle's hospitals.

Today was the day all hell broke loose, people did stupid things, and people got hurt. It was like Halloween for an intern. It was the easiest day to be able to scrub in on a cool surgery, but that was only if said intern made it to the hospital alive.

"Good morning, Dr. Shepherd." Devyn greets back almost startled by his presence. Like she was waiting for someone or something else to take her by surprise.

"Are you okay? You seem on edge." He questioned, moving in front of her to look at her face for any signs of injury, afraid something bad had happened to her.

"Of course I'm on edge. Do you know what day it is?" She questioned, looking over her shoulder for a certain crowd to arrive as she walked around Derek.

"I believe it's Wednesday."

"You're new here, aren't you?" She asked as she continued walking. Derek right behind her, curious as ever. He was in fact new and he had no idea what she was talking about that could put her on edge like this.

"Yes I am- good morning, Dr. Bailey." He greeted once the two of them walked up to the cross walk. He had just now recognized the short woman they were approaching.

"Shut up." She held up a hand as she continued thinking about whatever was on her mind.

"You do know I am your boss? I'm an attending and you're a resident."

"Something is happening today but I can't remember what. I should remember, it's right in front of my face." She muttered, looking down the street like it would give her the answer.

"The dead baby bike race." Devyn informed, Bailey's eyes went wide as she grabbed ahold of Derek, who was about to walk out in front of a bunch of crazy bikers. The three watched as the bikers raced past, some hitting cars and others crashing into the sidewalk.

"I should've drove." Devyn sighed as she finally crossed the cross walk.

When they got to the hospital, Devyn rushed to put her scrubs on and get herself ready for the shift she was about to have. The dead baby bike race is an annual race that leads to a bunch of injuries and deaths just for free shots of tequila. Only complete idiots compete.

"Every year this bar-"

"The Dead Baby Bar." Meredith added.

"They hold this underground bike race." George finished as he and the others put on their trauma gowns.

"Why would someone name a bar something so disgusting?" Izzie asked with a crinkled nose just listening to people say the name of the bar.

"Keep your panties on, Nancy Drew." Cristina rolled her eyes as she tied her gown.

"It's completely illegal-"

"Stupid idiots race against traffic for free shots of tequila. There's no rules- you can do anything." Devyn explained further. With her having lived in Seattle for a large portion of her life, she knew all about the race.

"Except eye gouging."

"Yes, no eye gouging." Devyn nodded, confirming what George said.

"Sounds like fun." Alex nodded with a smirk, probably thinking about how he'd win the race.

"Yeah, you would say that." Izzie rolled her eyes.

"Chief needs a right hand. Who wants to go?" Bailey interrupted the bickering. Everyone's hands shot up but George was the quickest.
