Chapter 16: Das Ende

After the intense and confusing events, things in Rhythm Heaven started to return to normal. The dark sky cleared up and became a beautiful shade of blue. The people in Rhythm Heaven who was affected by the strange happenings went back to their usual lives, and the city became lively again with music, laughter, and happy vibes.

Scott, Woods and Hank looked up to the sky as it transitioned back to normal. Woods let out a sigh of relief, his voice filled with a hint of disbelief "I think... I think it's finally over. The city is back to normal!"

Scott nodded, a weary but content smile forming on his face. "It seems like Yuka and Joel managed to restore the balance."

"But, where are they?" Hank questions as he looks around, the house is empty and none of them were found inside.

Woods searches at the sky, "Look up there!" he points at a big orb of water that was floating high in the sky. In the water, there are 2 people floating unconsciously, it was Yuka and Joel at their normal state. Yuka was still on her red dress and Joel on their varsity jacket with blue jeans. 

Soon, the water bursts into particles—creating a rainbow ring from the explosion, then it disappears into the thin air. The two them starts falling down from the sky.

As Joel and Yuka descended from the sky, Joel's consciousness slowly returned, their senses sharpening with each passing moment. Realizing the danger of the impact that's rapidly approaching, Joel's instincts kicked in, and they reached out desperately for Yuka's hand.

In a stroke of luck, Joel grabs tablet pen that had accompanied them during their fall. With a surge of determination, they focused their thoughts into their musical powers.

"Please, God. Just one more time. Let me save someone," they thought to themselves. Their necklace shines bright as they try to activate their musical abilities, their outfit transformed into an elegant and magical conductor.

As they held onto Yuka's hand tightly, Joel's mind raced with melodies and rhythms, their fingers moving swiftly across the surface of the tablet pen. Their thoughts made a flow, creating a powerful resonance that enveloped both of them.

With their combined strength and the activation of Joel's musical powers, a shimmering shield with a form of a bubble warps around them, protecting them from the impact that awaited below. The sound of melody from the previous dimension could be heard, but this time it sounds more optimistic, light, and joyful. 

The bubble that was made of water pulsated with the rhythm of their harmonized melodies, creating a barrier that absorbed the force of the fall. The shield of water was as soft as a pillow, the both of them wasn't covered in water and they are still completely dry.

The moment of impact arrived, but instead of crashing against the ground, Joel and Yuka landed safely within the protective shield. The bubble gradually disappeared into the thin air, and they found themselves standing on solid ground, unharmed and filled with a newfound sense of awe and wonder.

Scott, Hank and Woods were sprinting towards where they landed, Hank shouted "JOEL! YUKA!"

Joel and Yuka turned towards the sound of their friends' voices and saw Scott, Hank, and Woods approaching with a mixture of relief and concern on their faces. Tears of joy welled up in Joel's eyes as they realized they had successfully saved themselves and Yuka from what could have been a fatal fall.

"Thank you, Joel," Yuka looked at them

Joel wiped away their tears and looked at Yuka with a gentle smile as they nodded.

The rest of the group reached them, their faces filled with relief and astonishment. Scott stepped forward and placed his hand on Joel's shoulders. "Oh, god are you okay?"

Joel nodded, they're filled with a mix of gratitude and excitement.

Scott's eyes widened in awe and amazement. Hank and Woods stood beside Scott, their expressions mirroring his astonishment. 

Joel's heart swelled with a sense of accomplishment and relief. They had tapped into an extraordinary ability that they didn't fully understand yet, but it had saved their lives and brought them a step closer to unraveling the mysteries of their musical powers. 

They turned to Yuka, their friend who had been with them through it all, holding on and believing in them. Yuka smiled warmly at Joel, their eyes shining with gratitude.

Days had passed since the last event, Joel has more freedom from their dad. They're now allowed to go outside even on their own. Just on one request, they just had to see both ways before crossing.

Joel was invited by Yuka and their friends to go on a trip to another country as a group. It is their dream to explore the world and see the possibilities. The group had planned their trip along with preparing a schedule for it. Today, it is Joel's special day spending time with their friends.

Joel's heart raced with excitement as they stepped outside, taking in the fresh air and warm sunlight. They're wearing a black beanie with a red streak on their head, a red hoodie, a dominant black jacket with a dark red checkered pattern on it, black baggy pants and their red converse-like shoes. They picked up two of their bags to their dad's car, preparing to go to the airport.

As they arrived at the gates, their dad embraced them tightly, a mixture of emotions evident in his eyes. "Have an amazing time, Joel. I'll be here waiting for your return. and don't forget to let me know when you've landed!"

With heartfelt goodbyes, Joel hopped into the car, joining their friends who were already bubbling with excitement. Yuka, with their usual warmth, gave Joel a reassuring squeeze on the shoulder.

The group finally set off, heading towards the airport. They gathered their bags, checked in, and went through the necessary procedures. The flight took off, and as they soared through the clouds, Joel looked out the window with awe. They marveled at the vastness of the world below, realizing that there was so much to explore and discover.

Over the coming days, Joel and their friends would found themselves in new cultures, trying local cuisine, and visit breathtaking landmarks. They would make memories that would last a lifetime and deepen their bonds even further. Throughout their adventures, Joel never forgot their dad's words of caution. They made sure to look both ways before crossing any unfamiliar streets, taking their safety seriously.

They were finally venturing into the world, free to explore, grow, and embrace the possibilities that awaited them. And with their friends by their side, Joel knew that this journey would memorable.

But wait, if Scott created Joel who has magical music abilities when it was activated, and there are lots of experimental tubes on his lab, could it be that Joel wasn't the only one with that power? Could there be others who has the same abilities?
