Anguished and Insane

Chapter 8 -G-

Gon's eyes flew open as he pushed himself to a sitting position.

'Huh, that's weird.' He thought as he got to his feet.

He looked around him.

'Since when was I on a roof? Wasn't I with Ging and Alluka a second ago?'

Suddenly, a thousand memories came crashing back.

'Killua! Where's Killua?! Is Killua and Alluka okay? How did I get here?'

Questions flooded his mind but none of them seem to have an answer.

Gon started steaming and shook his head.

"Stop thinking." Gon said to himself.

He walked to the edge and peeked over.

'Where am I?' Gon thought as he deliberately jumped off. He then realized the fall was about at least 200 ft.

He remembered that he couldn't use Nen.

Without Nen, Gon couldn't land without breaking a couple bones from this height.

But he already jumped off, so he did the next best thing.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!" Gon screamed.

To his luck, a pro hero was scouting the area. The pro hero was wearing a baggy brownish-tan-like outfit and his hair was blonde.

But what stood out the most, was his red wings.

The pro hero heard a scream and he noticed a green boy falling.

He flew to him and caught him. "Are you okay?!" The pro hero yelled over the wind.

"I'm fine." Gon smiled widely. "Thanks for catching me."

"Uhm,"

"If it weren't for you I'd probably have died." Gon thanked him.

"Uh, yeah." The pro hero said, confused.

'Why the hell is he so happy? He literally almost died.' The pro hero was a bit weirded out but didn't pay much attention to it.

The pro hero and Gon flew down and landed softly on the sidewalk.

People were staring at them.

The pro hero put both hands on Gon's shoulders. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Uhh, yeah?"

"How did you get up there?"

"I have no idea."

"Why were you falling? Especially from that height?"

"I jumped off."

'He jumped? Is he suicidal?'

"Kid, I know this isn't the best time to ask you but, are you perhaps, suicidal?"

"What? Of course not. I just jumped off because I thought that I could land without breaking a few bones." Gon explained.

'Wtf is wrong with this kid?' The pro hero sighed.

"Where are you parents?" He asked Gon.

"I dunno." Gon shrugged his shoulders. It was true. He didn't know where his mom is. Ging was-

The pro hero sighed again. He was starting to get really frustrated. And on top of that, he was fairly confused.

"What's your name kid? I can't keep calling you kid."

Gon smiled as he happily answered. "My name is Gon Freecs! And who are you?"

The pro hero turned white. 'Is he serious?' The pro hero thought. 'How does he not know me?'

He cleared his throat. "I'm Hawks."

"That's a weird name but okay." Gon was a bit confused on why his name was an animal, but really, he could care less.

"Harks is my hero name, not my actual name."

"Oh." Now Gon was even more confused. 'Hero? Like, the fictional kind or what?' Gon blinked and looked up at Hawks. 'Maybe he's mental.'

"Where do you live? I can take you back to your house." Hawks asked him.

"I live on Whale Island. But it's an island so it's probably very far."

'Whale island? If that's where he lives, then how did he get all the way over here?'

That's when Hawks noticed Gon's clothes.

"What kind of clothes are those?"

That's when Gon remembered.

"Killua!"

"Killua?" Hawks repeated.

"I have to find him. I need to apologize to him!" Gon was extremely worried.

"I know a Killua." Hawks told him.

"You do? Do you know where he is?"

"Yeah, the principle of UA addressed to me that a kid named Killua would be staying with Eraserhead."

"Can you take me to him?" Gon pleaded.

"Of course. I just have to bring you in for questioning."

Gon was confused. "Why?"

"Just in case you're a villain."

'Villain? I think this guy is mental.'

"Uh, sure. Okay." Gon responded in a 'wtf is wrong with you' way.

"Then it's settled. Follow me."
