*Riana*

"Ria." he gasped, holding my face for a moment "Please don't say that. You don't know what it means when you're mine."

"Lance, I'm yours. With all the consequences."

"No, please. If I let myself get into this fully now, I won't be able to let you go. And if I let that happen now, I'll drag you down with me into the deep. I'm not the one who..."

"I'm yours," I repeated again.

His breathing became even heavier "You don't know what you're getting yourself into here, Ria. Please. I don't want to push you away, but believe me, you should run while you still can." he held my face tightly and lowered his forehead against mine "Please run Ria. Please. Because I can't."

"I won't run.", I whispered "Pull me into the deep with you. I'm yours. Since our first night in the box.".

"Fuck, Ria." he whispered, pulling me even closer to him "You don't understand." his voice was strained.

"Then explain it to me.".

"I can't think with you this close to me, sitting on my lap," he growled.

Still with my eyes closed, I slid off his lap and sat back down on the chair next to him. I heard him pull up his mask.

"Open your eyes.", there it was again, that commanding tone.

But I did as he said.

"Explain it to me.", now I demanded. I wanted to know what the hell was wrong with him. Why he was resisting so much when he obviously wanted it so badly.

I looked at him expectantly and I was sure he was about to say something when the door opened behind us.

"Follow me, please?" a policeman I hadn't seen before smiled kindly.

But something about his look was strange. Tense somehow?

"Where to?" asked Lance, standing up immediately.

"I think that's her business," the cop said, looking past Lance to me.

"Where do you want to take me?", I remained seated, crossed my legs and folded my arms in front of my chest.

"To the interrogation room. We want to question you again," he said, his expression rigid.

"Why? I've already said everything. I've been here for hours. I want to go home and..."

"You're not going home." said the policeman "You're a suspect.".

"I'm sorry, what?" came from me, my pulse skyrocketing "I was attacked by my ex-boyfriend and almost murdered for the second time and you want to frame me?"

"We got information leaked to us that you just orchestrated the whole thing with your ex-boyfriend. You got your friend here to frame your ex-boyfriend to see how far he would go for you. Only to then lure him to you with a fake attack. We found the plans in the books in your apartment. All neatly written down with dates. You wanted to enrich yourselves with the money of the faceless. To fleece him and then disappear with your ex-boyfriend. Isn't that so?"

"No!" I said, completely incensed.

My gaze slid from the cop to Lance. I couldn't read the look on his face. He was kind of...expressionless.

"No. I didn't... What books?", I asked, looking back to the cop.

"Follow me and I'll show you everything," he nodded towards the door, "And you I would advise to withdraw now. You'll be briefed as soon as we need you," he said to Lance, who was still looking at me blankly.
