-chapter 6-
{ Carla }Two month into school...
I know all my teachers like the back of my hand.
I'm familiar with our whole class , and the other classes too.
I'm friends with the vice principal, and his 10 year old daughter.
I've gone into the senior years' class and gave a speech about how age doesn't matter and effort is what's important.
And I've gotten four job offers so far. As an artist, as a teacher assistant, as a tutor , and as an assistant for school student affairs
To be honest the last one caught my eyes , since if you're an assistant in that field you can decide on new dress code rules, field trips, new punishment systems and the school dances, prom designs and themes.
It seemed like a nice job , but the vice principal is very , very stingy, he doesn't want to pay me. Since I'm a student I should work for the school without pay....
I refused even though the offer was tempting.
My school life has been successful, and rather chaotic...
But I'm trying to take everything that comes my way like a champ. And I'm succeeding.
Right now I'm sitting in maths class, we have P.E afterwards.
Our teacher mister Myers is writing boring formulas on the bored and drawing geometric patterns and stuff.
Suddenly he covers a part of the board with his back , and clears his throat.
"Whoever answers this question gets 5 guaranteed questions, that means I'll let 5 wrong questions pass and give you the full mark for each question." Our teacher said confident that no one in class can answer this question.
Our whole class cheers on for our teacher, itching to see how hard the question is and who is smart enough to answer it.
I was sketching an eye on a sticky note before but now he successfully got my full attention.
It's not like I'd need 5 guaranteed marks or anything, but it's sounds like a fun challenge.
He takes his hand off of the board , uncovering the question.
I take one glance at the board and get a rough idea of how to solve it..
I go up to the board , and the class quiets down again after seeing me go up to the board.
The question is really simple , it's a geometric drawing.
( This is it ^ she needs to prove that the dark purple triangle is equal in area to half parallelogram FEDA , this is really easy , but bare with it it's the most my potato brain could come up with.)
I observe the drawing in front of me in more detail. If there's something I know is that no one in this class can beat me in my geometry game.
"We have two parallelogram and one small triangle." I say breaking the silence.
"Since the two parallelograms have a common base and they're between the same parallels , therefore they're equal in Area" I say , this drawing is super duper easy I don't know how he was expecting it to be unsolvable to us.
"That's the first point of the proof." I say glancing at my teacher with a smirk , only to find him already smiling at me.
"Then since the first parallelogram and the triangle in it have a common base and are between the same parallels , therefore the area of the triangle equals half the area of the parallelogram." I say turning to the class and showing them what I mean on the drawing.
"That's point number 2" I say with a smile.
"Then from point 1 , and 2 , since the two parallelograms are equal in Area , therefore the small triangle is equal in Area to half of the parallelogram FEDA." I say out loud while writing Q.E.D on the board.
The class erupts into cheers and whistles , if they had roses they would've thrown them.
Mr. Myers smiles at me, I smile back.
"Alrighty then , on Carla's next exam, she has 5 guaranteed marks , though I doubt she'll be needing them." Mr. Myers says with a chuckle.
"Thank you Mr Myers , although I'll actually be needing them on Algebra test next week." I say while laughing, bleh I hate algebra.
I go back and sit next to Janet and Jenny, Janet tells me I was so cool up there and Jenny just grumbles about how I'm being too smart for my own good.
Andrea and Nicky are making fun of me with the two other girls in their group, oblivious to the fact I can literally hear every word they're saying.
The boys are all speechless except a certain group of delinquents including a certain platinum blonde haired guy.
They're making dumb remarks I can't even comprehend. I just smile and continue working on the eye I was sketching.
Just as I'm rounding up my sketch , The bell rings.
P.E class ! Finally.
I go down the three flights of stairs and I go into the play area for the kindergartners.
They're not using it right now so why not make full use of it ?
Me and Janet go into the six person swing.
I sit on the right and she sits on the left , as we're sitting, Jenny , Jessica and Nancy join us on the swing.
Jessica and Nancy are the two nerds of our class.
I guess maybe they're interested in me since I'm smart.
As I'm talking to them and getting to know them I slowly notice how they're really fun to talk to.
The more we talked the more we burst out laughing.
I didn't feel like a stranger anymore, I felt like I was finally a part of a group.
I'm starting to get used to and accept the people in this school..
I think I found the people I want to befriend.
Jenny ,Jessica , Nancy, and Janet.
I like them.
I guess they're my new friends now.

I know this chapter was short and full of geometry but I still hope you enjoyed it ! 💕
Till next time ! 💕😋
