Chapter 6

The next day, eda got Luz and Vee ready for Lilith to pick them up, for all they knew, they were staying with their aunt for a week as a special way to spend their fall break.   As eda put Luz and vees bags in the car she out on the weakest forced smile she could and waved good bye to her children. Just as she headed for her house, Lilith stopped her. "Eda..are you-" eda turned her head slightly as a way to tell her sister not to finish. "I... Dont have the strength to lie to you right now.. Please don't ask" eda said in a low voice. " okay..but..know il help you any way you can" Lilith said hoping it would give some comfort."just..dont let Vee eat any art supplies..and dont let Luz come near you with her sword" eda went inside, and closed her door, tears started streaming down her face and she didn't bother to wipe her face. She went to her room and turned off the light and locked the door. To many things around her room reminded her of Raine. Eda stood there crying,as the shock sunk in. Then Raine filled her mind.

She sat on her bed and started sobbing. She believed Raine was gone forever. She regretted not telling them, she regretted pushing them away. She wished she could have told them how she felt. Everything. "Please..Rainestorm..come back..il tell your everything,I swear..just..come back to me" she whimpered.   She laid down crying, and eventually she passed out.

When she woke up, it was 5 in the afternoon. Her phone was about to dye so she went looking for her charger, she dug around her drawer. She found d a charger, but also a tape recorder. She again started crying when she saw it. She plugged up her phone then presses the play button on. It started playing, Raines Rapsody. It made her cry, but gave her some comfort. Eda listened to the recording multiple times, the slight comfort it gave her helped, but her tears stayed constant. She then went Into her kitchen and had a few glasses of wine, she didn't want to get herself drunk.  She looked at the clock in her house and saw  it was close to Luz and vee's  bed time so she called her sister.

"Edalyn! W-what are you doing?"

"J-just wanted wanted to.. Tell the twins good night"

"Okay, give me a second"

"Hii mommy!!"

"Hey babies.. Are you okay?"

"Yeah! We had a lot of fun today"

"Great.. Just wanted to.. To say goodnight.. Make sure to go to bed on time"

"Okay! Good night mommy!!"

"Good night..."

"Can we say hi to mx whispers?"

"I... "

Eda just hung up the phone, she knew she didn't have the strength to lie to them. And she can't tell 6 year olds their parent died. She couldn't stop crying.   Having to accept the fact the person she fell in love with was dead.  Her heart felt heavy, she couldn't speak all she could do was sob.  She just laid down and cried her self to sleep for a second time. Not even her own subconscious would let her rest easy, eda woke up twice in the middle of the night.

Her dream:
Eda was in the dark, then say a convince store, then their driving license on the ground. She looked up and the convince store was blazing with fire. Then heard Raines voice.

End of dream:

Eda woke up at around 10 in the morning. To her phone ringing.

"Hello?"
