Fray Struggles Chapter 5

No One's POV: Aftermath

"Well, well, well, isn't it Kazuha." Nahida's voice was stern, with a distasteful sense in mind. As she stared at Kazuha to death, Kazuha clenched onto Scaramouche and pulled him closer to his chest.

Nahida giggled, "Don't worry, I did this to him." Kazuha's eyes grew loud, and the light in his eyes turned dark as if a dark cloud arose within himself. Kazuha drew Scaramouche closer to his chest, "H-how, please don't hurt him, or else." Nahida giggled, "Don't worry, I'm on your side!" Kazuha became anxious and worry grew as Nahida approached slowly.

Nahida sighed in frustration, "I shouldn't be telling you this, but I have to be able to move forward in Scaramouche's life." Kazuha titled his head, "What do you mean, is he keeping something from me."

Nahdia's eyes shined as she sighed, "He's secreted his identity, you have forgotten, and everyone has forgotten." Kazuha's eyes grew in confusion the more Nahida talked in riddles.

"I'll start from the beginning, Scaramouche was created by the Ei, in simpler words his mother, they shared precious memories of each other and a bond that sealed within each other, then one day the Ei threw Scaramouche out, but Scaramouche thought she betrayed him and left him because he was weak. He went by the name Kunikuzushi, of which Ei named him, he was made to carry the gnosis, but every night he would cry, he grew fragile and Ei couldn't bare to see him in pain, so Miko planned for Ei to destroy him but she wanted him to live free. So she sealed the power within him, and he set off to another chapter of his life, which this chapter ended with a betrayal in Scaramouche's life. The second betrayal Scaramouche faced was with an ancestor of yours, Niwa. Long story short, they grew close, and he fled supposedly, but in reality Dottore killed Niwa, Dottore took Niwa's heart and put it into a box (Escher) of which Scaramouche would soon cleanse it (he didn't know). Scaramouche's last betrayal consisted of a young child, who was similar to himself, with hope for a future, a fledgling barely out of the nest, but the sick young child died, and that's when Scaramouche drew the line. And he was in an evil arc and joined Fatui, and Dottore did horrible to Scaramouche, and finally, Scaramuche couldn't bare it anymore, he was burned out, and made everyone forget him. Only a few know who he is, but sadly, he's just a stranger wandering in the wind. But I and Scaramouche are very close because I'm like his auntie, and lately he has been crying in his sleep for unknown reasons, but I have some speculations, and that's why he started to cry, was because I put him to sleep, as you kissed him..." Nahida crossed her arms, "You got all that?"

Kazuha was speechless, he dropped Scaramouche's head on the ground and stared at him with a blissful sight. "That was a lot to take in..." Nahida nodded, "Ask any questions."

Kazuha gulped, placed Scaramouche's head on his lap, and started to rub his hands against Scaramouche's hair lightly, "He's a puppet..?" Nahida nodded, "How old is he...?" Nahida smirked, "500 approximately," Kazuha's eyes grew, "500?!" Nahida nodded, "Anything else?" Kazuha's hands clasped together, "Why did you put him to sleep?!" Nahida smiled innocently, "You will figure that out by yourself, one day." Kazuha just blankly stared at the sky, "Let me take him home with me." Nahida gasped, and jumped back, "Ha, you really think I'd do that?" Kazuha gleamed in her eyes, Nahida gave in, knowing it was the best option, "Fine, but please go easy on him, and please take care of him."

Kazuha's eyes gleamed with the reflection of the moon, "Thank you, Nahida." Nahida looked at him, "You will truly heal him, as he will heal you." Kazuha's cheeks grew blush red and in bridal style, he gracefully picked Scaramouche up and whispered into Scaramouche's ear, "I'm here now, everything is going to be okay." tears flooded down Scaramouche's face as he was unconscious, Kazuha held him tighter, but the more he did he felt Scaramouche's heart ache in pain calling out for someone to save the pain that is endeavored into his soul.
