A rustle of leaves
A whisper of wind
Then....silence
Disrupted by my heart
A shiver up my spine
Snapping of branches
A shadow drifting past
and the beating of my heart
Maniacal laughter
Short breaths
Ice wind
Cold sweat
Black darkness
And my jackhammer heart
