"HAPPY BIRTHDAY"
everyone shouted.
I smile as they bring over my cake
"Happy birthday to you"
They began singing. Once the small song was over and I blew out the candles
"What did you wish for?"
"Um.. I didn't wish for anything"
"Well..okay! Let's cut the cake!"
Ugh.. chocolate, I hate this nasty ass flavor.
"What's wrong m?"
"Nothing.."
I get up, and make my way to my room.
I just want to sleep, I've been running around all day doing all of the above.
As I lay in bed ni-ki walks in.
He always comes in to cuddle or sleep.
He lays in bed with me, resting his head on my shoulder.
I begin to hum duvet (by boa) and play softly in his hair.
He slowly falls asleep.
Before fully sinking away he manages to make out.. words that me want to end it all.
"M.."
"Hm?"
"I.. I have a girlfriend now"
"Oh.."
I remove my hand, scooting over eventually out of the bed.
"Im sorry"
"There's nothing to apologize for Niki.. you found your love your happy. We just can't hang out anymore.."
"What..?"
He pushes himself up against the headboard.
"Idk how your girlfriend would feel about you having a girl best friend.. bye Niki"
I walk out.. I need a long walk.
Tears pricking my eyes as I walk down a deep alleyway, my feelings getting a hold of me as I wipe them away.
Worst birthday present ever.
