"Deena, please tell me you're not writing to Sam again" Reagan Kalivoda sighs out, standing in the doorway of Deena's bedroom, ready to go to school. Deena was busy writing and scratching out words on a piece of paper, still dressed in her pajama's, a large black band tee and some boxers, 'I'm only happy when it rains' playing throughout her room.

"I'll be ready in a minute" Deena replies, her jaw locked in concerntration. Reagan throws her bag onto Deena's bed, moving to plop down beside Deena. Two lines were crossed out but Reagan could read them just fine.

"Dear Sam, I hate you? Dear Sam, I wish we never met? Dee, are you okay?" Reagan asks.

"Fine" Deena shrugs, having thought for a moment before writing something else down.

"Dear Sam, go fuck yourself, Love, Deena. Love that Johnson charm" Reagan teases with a smirk as Deena's alarm goes off. Both Deena and Reagan glance at the alarm before glancing at each other. "We're not skipping" Reagan says, noticing her expression.

"Why not?" Deena huffs, throwing down the note onto her side table where her alarm clock sat.

"Because you've already skipped a lot since you and Sam broke up and I'm not letting you skip again. Which is why, I got myself up early and ready just to make sure you didn't skip" Reagan explains.

"But-" Deena tries to argue but Reagan quickly cuts her off.

"Ah, ah" Reagan whistles and suddenly, their one and only Sunnyvale friend, Dustin Hart appears, carrying a tray of coffees.

"We brought coffee" Dustin smiles charmingly and Deena rolls her eyes at the two of them and stands, Reagan following after. Deena grabs the coffee they labeled Deena before shoving them out of her room.

"Give me a couple of minutes and I'll be ready" And with that, she slams the door shut in their faces. Reagan and Dustin turn to look at each other, Reagan grabbing her own coffee and sighing.

"That went better than I thought" Dustin shrugs in agreement and the two head downstairs to wait for their friend. Reagan and Deena had been best friends since forever. The two met sometime in elementary school when a group of girls were teasing Deena, saying her hair made her look like a lion. Seeing as Reagan had the same kind of hair as Deena, she thought it was her duty to stand up for the girl. She couldn't really care to remember what exactly was said but she knew she was pissed about it and so she gave one of the girls a black eye, causing her to get into trouble.

But the whole situation had been funny considering all the other ones ran away screaming and crying while Deena laughed hysterically, even sending growls after them, like a lion, causing Reagan to join in. After that, the two became best friends. Then, Reagan introduced Deena to her twin brother, Simon, while Deena introduced her little brother Josh. And they met their other friend, Kate Schmidt, in middle school, who was popular and a cheerleader.

Kate met Simon first when Simon asked her out, which she had rejected him for, claiming she shouldn't date someone who would be much better off in a relationship with a hot guy instead. After that, Simon and her started hanging out and he introduced Kate to Deena and Reagan, Kate giving the both of them knowing smirks, as if she knew they were going to be a bunch of lesbians. Not that she was wrong. Kate just had a great gaydar.

Ever since then, the four had hung out, though, it wasn't that hard to tell, Kate was never really a big fan of Reagan. Which they later found out, Kate was the girl she gave a black eye to. Reagan had pointed out she was making fun of Deena so it was technically her own fault and then Kate had told her that it was her friends that did it, not her, and she was actually trying to stick up for Deena as well when Reagan punched her in the face.
