Meleyana has just returned from her run through the garden. Shifting back into human was always embarrassing to her, so she made sure nobody was around.

After transforming into human form, she immediately put on her gown and headed to her room. While walking through the halls of Selenya Castle, two guards crossed her path.

"Princess. Your father requested to see you." Guard said after bowing down to a child.

"Then I shall probably be on my way." Meleyana answered politely. Together with the guards, she made her way to the meeting room, where the king was waiting.

Inside the room, King Kerber was sitting at his throne, looking furious. Next to him was his son and
Meleyana's brother, Ilidian.

"My king," Meleyana said after bowing.

"Your brother told me you dreamed of your mother. Tell me, child, what did you see in your vision?" After saying those words, Kerber stood up and walked closer to Meleyana.

Ilidian had guilt on his face, but he did what he had to do. Keeping Kerber close was the only way to survive.

Both Meleyana and Ilidian knew their father wanted them dead. He openly speaks in front of them about marrying his human lover and making new heirs—children that won't be "shapeshifting monsters".

There are two reasons they are still alive. One, because Meleyana had visions about her mother Shavone, knowing where she is and what she is up to. This helped Kerber keep up with Shavone. The reason Ilidian was alive was because, for now, he was the only male heir.

He knew that as soon as another son was born to Kerber, he would die. From time to time, Kerber would bring Ilidian to council meetings so that the nobles wouldn't suspect anything.

However, behind the scenes, he despised his children, torturing them both mentally and physically. The fact that he has to rely on them for information was his last drop after losing so many soldiers to Shavone.

"I will speak to my children in private." Kerber signaled to the soldiers to leave the room. This was the part that Meleyana hated the most. She knew he would never hit her in front of others.

That's why every time he asks for someone to leave the room for "privacy," he means for violence. Just as she feared, her father grabbed her by the throat and lifted her in the air. Her six-year-old body was too weak to defend herself.

"Speak, and don't even think of hiding something. I will know." Kerber threw Meleyana on the floor, waiting for her to speak. Ilidian flinched and closed his eyes. He couldn't stand to look at his sister being beaten, but if he tried to jump in, both of them would probably die.

"Mother gave birth. You have two more sons, father. Kilian and Melian." Meleyana was trying to catch her breath while speaking.

"Two of them were born in wolf form and can shape shift just like me and Ilidian."

"Tsk. Bitch used dark magic on them as well. I hoped to at least get one normal child." Said Kerber while spitting next to Meleyana. She reminded him too much of Shavone. They had the same long, blonde hair. Same wide gray eyes and pale skin. That's why he was always more violent toward her than Ilidian.

"My king. They are nothing like me or Ilidian. They are abominations. The babies are already able to move in wolf form."

"They won't be moving soon." Kerber said it with anger in his voice.

"That is not the end. Aside from moving, they are able to kill with enchanted strength and mind. Melian was the one who took control over mother and killed the moon mage. He sensed that she was going to kill them, so he protected the mother before he was even born. He also hunted animals while mother was unconscious and fed his brother Kilian. He is responsible for killing our soldiers and General Garey. He..."
