In a busy city, Ridhima started her day with quiet determination. She moved through her chores effortlessly, a sense of accomplishment building with each task. Little did she know, this day would test her in ways she never expected.
With a heart full of love and care, she prepared a delicious breakfast for her younger brother and ensured he was ready for school. As the clock struck eight, she bid him farewell, sending him off to catch the school bus.
Dressed in a lovely outfit she carefully chose, Ridhima felt a surge of confidence. Her clothes made her look polished and highlighted her natural elegance. With a touch of makeup, her eyes sparkled with excitement, showing how eager she was for the day ahead. Her hair was styled perfectly, flowing in soft waves that framed her face and added a touch of effortless charm. As she looked at herself one more time, she knew she was prepared to take on the day and leave a lasting impression.
Today was unlike any other for Ridhima. The company was welcoming its new CEO, someone highly intelligent and educated abroad. Though Ridhima had never met him before because he lived in a foreign country and had never visited her workplace, she had heard a lot about him. People said he was very tall, strict, and had a demeanor that resembled the devil himself, only giving orders without much interaction. Aware of the charm he possessed and the impact he would make, Ridhima was determined to make her own mark and not be overshadowed by his grand arrival.
Determined to be an early bird at the office and attend the welcoming ceremony, Ridhima stepped out of her society, hoping to find a rickshaw to transport her swiftly. However, luck seemed to play a cruel game as every rickshaw she spotted was occupied by other passengers. Frustration welled up within her, and she cursed her ill fate. Undeterred, she decided to make her way to the bus stop, despite its distant location from her home.
Alas, as if the heavens conspired against her, rain began to pour relentlessly. She searched her bag in vain, realizing she had forgotten her umbrella in her excitement. The wind toyed with her carefully styled hair, threatening to ruin the perfection she had crafted for this significant day. Desperate to salvage her plans, Ridhima's eyes fell upon a shop across the road. With newfound hope, she hastened her steps, determined to purchase a new umbrella that would shield her from the downpour.
Usually, her father takes her to the office, but a few days ago, her parents went to visit her grandparents in the village and left her and her brother alone in their apartment. Her brother is a loving, caring, and supportive sibling. Ridhima is now twenty-six years old and she feels confident that she can handle any challenges that come her way. Ridhima was not accustomed to quickly catching an auto; it was not her thing.
However, disappointment awaited her once again as the shopkeeper regretfully informed her that umbrellas were not sold there. Disheartened but not defeated, Ridhima glanced around, searching for an alternative. Her gaze caught sight of a distinguished man, exuding an air of sophistication in his well-tailored suit, while his companion dutifully shielded him with an umbrella. Fate seemed to mock them both, for the man's luxury car had broken down, leaving him stranded in the middle of the road. Despite their contrasting circumstances, Ridhima couldn't help but be captivated by the man's handsome appearance and aura of affluence.
Realizing she had no other options at hand, Ridhima gathered her strength and surveyed the area. She spotted a café a few buildings away and carefully made her way there, seeking refuge under the shelter of the nearby rooftops. Finally reaching the café, she entered with caution, grateful to be shielded from the relentless rain. She ordered a cup of coffee, and while waiting, she swiftly booked a cab, berating herself for not taking such precautions earlier when she was at home.
