Elena's eyes were wide at the scene she was standing before. In the building that she was in, there were several dead bodies across the floor, and blood everywhere. It was not a sight that a 9 year old, or anyone for that matter, should ever have to see. She gasped in horror as she looked down at 2 of the bodies lying in front of her, those of her mother and father, both dead and surrounded by a pool of blood. She sat down on her knees in front of them, crying.

"Mommy... Daddy..." she wept, horrified that they were killed in such a brutal way.

"Get the girl!" a man shouted. She looked up, having completely forgotten about the dangers around her as she cried over her parents. Screaming, she ran out of the building as fast as possible, hearing loud bangs from behind her. She dodged the people that were in her way and ran as fast as possible. By the time she was too tired to carry on, she was at the edge of her town, the building not having been too far away. She sighed as she looked ahead of a road that went away from her town and started down it, wanting to get as far away from the shooters as possible. She was crying the entire time.

"Little one?" a familiar voice rang in her ears quietly.

"T-Tirion?" she gasped shakily, feeling a gentle amount of pressure on her side and light shaking, realizing that he had just woke her up. She opened her teary eyes to look at Tirion, who was kneeling down on the ground in front of the platform, looking down at her with a worried expression.

"Are you alright? You're crying!" he said softly.

"I-I h-had a b-bad d-dream..." she said, wiping her eyes and sniffling. He was right, her face was sopping wet, and so was a small spot on the fabric.

"Oh Elena..." he said with a sad tone, gently scooping her up along with the blanket, and holding her close.

Without any warning she just broke down, sobbing loudly and curling up in the blanket under his gentle embrace.

"I-I was s-so sc-scared..." she said, her voice trembling with every word.

"It's alright now, it's alright..." he said softly, bringing up his other hand and stroking her back lightly with the back of an index finger.

"B-but they're g-gone now, a-and I miss th-them... I don't w-wanna be a-alone..."

"You're not alone. You have me..." he said. He stood up from off of the ground, holding her close as he did so. He moved away from her platform and walked over to a couch in the living room, sitting down and leaning back. He cradled her close to him, trying to soothe her broken heart by softly singing to her.

My song is love
Love to the loveless shown
And it goes on
You don't have to be alone
Your heavy heart
Is made of stone
And it's so hard to see you clearly
You don't have to be on your own
You don't have to be on your own

And I'm not gonna take it back
And I'm not gonna say, "I don't mean that"
You're the target that I'm aiming at
Got to get that message home

By the time he was done singing, Elena had calmed down enough to the point in which her sobs were quiet whimpers.

"Easy little one..." he said quietly, continuing to stroke her back.

She sniffled, turning her face towards his, tears still streaming down her face. He brought up a thumb and wiped them away softly. She leaned against his chest, her eyes closed as she soaked up the comfort he offered her.

"I-I miss them so much..."

"I know..."

His heart went out to her once again as he watched her cry softly against him, curled up under the blanket.
