Based off of Day 10 of Zen's Route. I hope you enjoy.
I sat on the couch at Zen's place, mindlessly scrolling through my phone. I didn't really want to think right now, especially after nearly being kidnapped and the pent-up rage I feel. I'm angry, no, I'm furious. But why? "Fox," Zen called my name. "Are you sure I can't get you anything? Some tea, water, or anything?" I sigh, "Yes, I'm fine." I stated coldly. Zen pulls my phone out of my hands, "I know you're not. You don't have to pretend to be strong." He grabs my hands, lifting me up to stand in front of him. He pulls me in for a hug, but I don't return it. "I'm sorry this happened. I'll do everything I can to prevent it from happening again." It's quiet, and I don't say anything. "I'll protect you and keep you safe from now on." He pulls away and puts his hand on my cheek. He lifts my face to look at his and goes in for a kiss, but I turn away.
Zen's eyes sadden, and he has worry written on his face. "I'm sorry," He states. I still don't say anything. "Babe," Zen says quietly, "Talk to me. What's wrong? You can be honest with me." I look up at him, "Honest? Fine. I'm mad at you." Zen had a look of shock of his face, probably cause he's the one who saved me. "What?"
"I said I'm mad at you. I mad at you for talking to Seven like that." I say with my voice raised. "But he's one who knew about the bomb in the first place! He should've done something else other than watching the security camera!" He shouted. "You know damn well he did everything he could to make sure I was safe. He never meant for this to happen. So it's wrong of you to be this upset with him." I state in an angry tone, "Did you ever consider how he feels right now?"
"Why are you worried about him when your life was on the line?"
"Because I trust him."
Zen went quiet, so I kept going. "If you want someone to blame for my life being endangered, then you should blame Rika. She was the one who wanted the bomb in the first place, and Seven, along with V, just ablied to her wishes."
"B-But still..." He stuttered, "They should have told us beforehand instead of keeping it a secret!"
"Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't think you can just happily tell someone they're living with a bomb!" I shout. "Besides, I could've easily left by myself to safe place after the security system was disabled. But no, I just sit there and wait for one of you to come get me."
"That guy could've been anywhere! You needed someone to make sure you were safe! He could've waited for you outside!"
"I have plenty of things I can use to defend myself! I'm not dumb! Well, maybe I am! Since it's my fault for putting myself in this situation! I'm not helpless! I know what dangers there are, and don't everyone constantly worrying about me!" I spit out.
"We worry cause we care! We want you to be safe! Why are you being so stubborn?!"
I sigh, dropping my head down. "I want you to apologize to Seven. You know he cared just as much as anyone else about my safety." I grabbed my phone off the table and walked away. "Fox!" Zen called, but I just ignored him, walking into the bathroom and locking the door.
I ran up a friend of mine to come get me.
Ten minutes passed before my friend told me she was here. I walked out of the bathroom to see Zen sitting outside the door. He stood up and hugged me. "Look, I'm sorry, okay? But I was seriously worried about you! I don't know if I can bring myself to forgive Seven." I sigh and pull away. "I'm staying with my friend tonight," I look up at him, "I'll see you tomorrow at the party." I walk out, and Zen stands there in shock.
I get into the passenger seat, "You alright?" Rosita asked me. "No..." I sigh, tears welling up in my eyes.
