Cairo in the MM.
Shanell
Moments laterBreaking me away from my worrisome thoughts, I couldn't help but to sigh deeply as Cain's tall figure carried a sleeping Mya out of his mother's house. I could tell by the look on his face that the conversation we'd just had before he went in to get her was far from over.
But of course, he wouldn't say anything now with her in the car.
I watched as he came around and put her in the backseat before strapping her in and closing the door. He then made his way back around to the driver's side before he got in and started his car.
When he did, I looked over to him but he didn't pay me any attention now as he said nothing before he zoomed off of his mother's block. So I just sat there quietly, looking down at my hands now as he focused strictly on the road.
The car remained quiet like that for a long while and after a while I was actually beginning to fall asleep. As soon as I began to though, he finally opened his mouth to speak.
"Y'all coming home with me tonight or y'all going back to your crib?" He asked me and I shrugged carelessly, not really caring in this moment but I knew that I wasn't done spending my time with him so I just decided his house would be better.
"We can go home with you." I spoke softly to him and he simply nodded before making his way out of the city and up toward the hills.
It didn't take us long at all to get there, maybe about 30 minutes total. Once we did though, he grabbed Mya out of the backseat as she remained asleep on his shoulder.
We then all made our way into the house and as soon as we did, Cain looked back to me.
"I'm gon' go lay her down and shit."
"After I do, me and you, we need to talk, BG."
"For real." He spoke sternly to me and I inwardly sighed, rolling my eyes discreetly.
"Ok, babe." Was all I said, making my way upstairs to his room while he did the same but going the opposite way towards Mya's room here.
When he did, I couldn't help but to roll my eyes again to myself, knowing that another argument about marriage was about to take place. And it really only pissed me off because we rarely ever argued these days but over this topic, arguments were bound to happen.
We just always clashed when it came to this.
It was like he wanted one thing, I wanted another and he just wasn't willing to compromise with me at all.
"Yo, babygirl." I heard Cain call from the hallway, breaking me away from my thoughts. As he did, I quickly busied myself, trying to stall so that we didn't have to have this conversation at the moment.
