After hearing that Nova and my brother have an arranged marriage, sent me into shock
The girl I want, has to marry my brother in order to get the crown
I mean it's ridiculous.
I lock eyes with my brother who wore a sympathetic expression
before mouthing 'I'm sorry'
My eyes wonder over to Nova, regret and anger painted across her face
Her overwhelming emotions leading her to storm out and I follow suit
Leaving a little after, not wanting to make it obvious that I'm going to see her
I soon find her, in her room with her head buried in her hands as she paces back and forth
Mumbling words of hurt
I l walk in, slowly closing the door behind me before locking it
"Nova," I say, in the sweetest tone I could muster
"Yes?" Nova answered, looking up frantically
" are you okay?" I ask hesitantly, knowing the answer
Worry swimming in her ocean eyes, refusing to release the waves
Instead of words she shakes her head and I pull her into a hug while rubbing her back
" it's going to be fine, love" I say while offering a smile
She gave a weak one back before gently grabbing the side of my face and slowly pulling me into a long passionate kiss
Our lips matched rhythm, our heads turning to get all the perfect angles
not wanting to pull away even though I couldn't breathe
After what seemed like a lifetime, we pulled apart
Her eyes trained on me as if I was prey once she backed up to a respectful distance
" You know Lela, I think you're special." She confessed, a smirk plastered on her brown skin
One of her twist that freed from her ponytail now hung in her face
I smile, " and I think you're gorgeous,"
Our eyes locked onto one another before Nova shared her suggestion
