Y/N - 1st P.O.V.
The paper work was a lot more then you expected; Infact it was a lot more then it should have been. Most of it was very suspicious. You signed saying you weren't a hero or affiliated with any hero. Things in that nature. You pulled through and finished signing the papers to the house that now, belongs to you. You looked out at the window to see how it became dark. Really dark, in fact you can only see street lights and house lights. Val came in and told you that Val and yourself are leaving the island. Everything felt rushed and odd, but that was your fault for being picky as possibly wasting this real estate agent's time.
When you arrived back home most of your things have already been packed. It was a lot, but enough. After the last important supply was rapped up you saw a photo. It was you and your mother at your 8th birthday party. It was hero themed. You and her look so happy in the old dusty photo, where did the times go.
You put the photo back in its prospective box and got out your sleeping bag. You are moving to the strange island tomorrow, which funny as it is, is named Hat Island. You lay back down and start to think about all the life choices that brought you here. Maybe if I didn't actually all sorry for myself I could have been somewhere. Or maby even that dream. You took time and prosses everything to prepare for tomorrow; And with that, darkness... . .

Val was kind enough to get you a free ride to the island. She was pretty quick about the whole situation saying how you are going to love it and it basically not as bad as what the paper says, or online... maby you should have been a little smarter about this. Either way what's done is done and now you have to live in this rugged looking house. Which frankly isn't that bad, but still.
Even after the house is yours, you still have to pay for its amenities and rent. You saw the typical bill reports and they seem a little higher then you expected. People really pay this much to live in a place like this? You said to yourself. It was time for you to find a job to help keep yourself afloat. As most of your boxes are still packaged, you took out the electronics box to get your laptop. After waiting for it to power and going to the web you noticed how the web is different instead of your usual browser it was replaced with something else. You remember not downloading anything so how is this possible?
What kind of a web browser is this? Then you realized, it was September, which was close to October. The web browser people are probably just setting up for Halloween.
You type in the search bar jobs in your location. Many jobs popped up showing availability. However some are not a match. You continue to scroll through, you saw job opening for packagers and lifting heavy cargo. A lot of these jobs seem to be for the factorys here as well as the company that is in charge of it. You then saw another add but immediately scrolled when you saw the word villain. Yeah no thanks I'm in in no mode so any hero villian nonsense.
Finally after a long 6 minutes of searching you find a some what decent job. It was a librarian/archivist. You saw lists and reviews of the place. When you looked at reviews you saw only one. It was a 3 star review that said, Ok. That was it, nothing more. These people seem pretty enthusiastic about this place. You sarcastically thought. You knew what need to be done and they pay each hour. It seemed decent enough, even boring. You applied for the interview which was in fact today of all days. You didn't change or anything you just grabbed your phone and left.
It was a bright as it could be in this place. At least you don't have to worry about getting sunburned anytime soon. You turn to the right and walked Following the direction of your phone on this islands map. You past by houses, trees, and a playgroud. The playground doesn't look like it has been in use for a while. You saw a bunch of birds nests and squirls nest there. Even a racoon on the top of the slide. You continued to walk into town. You finally found some people. Looks like this place isn't entirely empty. They seem like local pedestrians. After walking past shops and restaurants you made it to the library. It was a lot smaller then yoy thought and was between to other places. You only saw one car there. As you walked in you where poorly greated by someone at the county. "Welcome to this towns only library, hurry up." The women behind the counter tiredly said.
You took a deap breath. "Uh, im actually here for the job interview." You explained. She looked at me with confused eyes until it seemed like she remembered something.
"Oh yeah, uh your hired." She said going back to being on her phone.
Wait what- "I'm sorry?" You where confused on what she just said. You where hired just like that? Is she really desperate.
"Yeah yeah yeah, I'm tired of one person getting mad at me for leaving this place. It's not like anyone really comes here. I just get paid and go home" she continued "so I need someone to cover for me." She Finished, Really? She needs you, so she can just leave. I guess it must suck being here all the time. "Anyways, don't worry about cleaning or rearranging books because no one really comes here except for that one guy." She said. Is this girl really serious? Well im sure its not that bad, just as long as I'm getting paid.
"I am getting payed for this right?" You asked. She looked at me annoyed at my question.
"Are you brain dead, obviously. My pay was cut because of this." She said annoyingly. "Now go do something as she pointed at the end of library. She got up and left. I guess this is my shift now.
