Somehow, Caitlyn had managed to drag her bloody and bruised ass back home. She crawled on to her leather couch clutching the note in her hand. It was half soaked in rain water and sweat, but she wouldn't forget what it was telling her.

Jinx knew who was sending these notes. And more importantly Jinx was back. This city was heating up and Caitlyn couldn't even hold her liquor. She groaned and pushed her face into the cushions. She was drowning in self-pity and one too many glasses of whisky. She sighed and turned to lie on her side. Caitlyn thought about her alley confrontation with Jinx.

Was Cait really only relaying what had been told to her? The doctors had told her that Vi's death wasn't her fault. They comforted and coddled her in a god damn hospital room for 6 months while she had to reassemble her mind. The doctors said it was Jinx's fault for bringing them into that situation. But now that she mulled it over..were those people only using Jinx as a scapegoat? Did they just refuse to tell Cait she had gotten her best friend killed?

Cait shut her eyes tight and screamed into the cushion. There was no way she was getting sleep tonight. She sat up and grabbed her pill bottle off the coffee table and popped back the daily two into her mouth for a painful dry swallow. Caitlyn slowly stood and stumbled her way to the bathroom. She threw the shower on cold and stripped off her disgusting clothes. Stepping under the cold water, she seethed slowly through her teeth in the shock of temperature, but it helped her head which was starting to ache. Her day at work the next day was going to be quite an interesting one. Cait finished showering and, wrapped in a warm towel, laid back down on the couch and watched the ceiling for a few hours.

Jinx rolled her shoulders to shake off tension as she watched the streets below her. At one point she had owned these streets. Piltover used to be her kingdom. Now? All she was, was part of the common rabble. Her position had been fed to the next best shot. Who was leagues under her, of course. As her mind traced through all these facts, she was distracted by a brilliant flash of blue. Jinx stood and narrowed her eyes. It may have been almost 6 months since the last time she was here, but she knew when things weren't right.

Jinx moved her way towards the flashing. She recognized the light, it was almost exactly like her gun zap. Last time she had seen technology like that was in her days at Zaun. It was her home city after all, she was familiar with its products. It wasn't long until the sounds of fighting reached her ears. She peeked around a corner and saw a kid battling a few uniforms with a glowing blue sword. On his back was a bright blue cylinder. The light emanating off the tech was enough to light the alley. Jinx watched passively, still lacking her guns. She had only seen fighting like this once in her life. And that's when she was fighting against it.

The boy flashed forward and smashed one of the uniforms against the brick wall. He dropped an energy field and leapt into it, after racing along the wall. He laughed and activated the field as the men descending upon him with a bright flash that left the men stunned. The kid threw a floating drive forward and knocked them to the side before summoning the drive back to him, catching them in the back again. There was the sound of a gunshot suddenly and the kid stumbled back after it found its mark in his gut. He coughed and reached behind him to grab a cord. Jinx's eyes widened. It was exactly who she thought it was.

"Do over.." Ekko choked, ripping his Z-drive. Jinx felt herself be dragged back in time and was transported back to the moment where Ekko had just thrown the drive. He backed up further and watched the roof tops. As soon as the drive was back in his hand, he sprinted out of the alley and towards Jinx. He had just left the alley when Jinx leapt forward and tackled him.
