Author's Note

Okay you guys might of not notice but this book is going to be written by two different people (though we are a lot alike). One will be writing Mianga's (and some of her friends) side of the story ( She  has an another account called angelofadarksoul3340 ) while the other will be writing Topanga's (KatelynTarras ) So we will be switching off every other chapter! We hope this clears up any confusion! -batgirls16.

Mianga's P.O.V

Once again I was in the police office but this time I felt utterly alone. I could barely breath and it took eerything I had not to burst into tear but I held back. Instead I sat there with my head hanging feeling as though I was waiting for a death sentence. I knew I was just going to be shipped to another foster home but this time I wouldn't have Topanga by my side. I had always been there to prrotect her, and to take the blow for her, but this time I had failed. I failed because I couldn't save her and it should of be me under those bricks not her. They couldn't even find her body so there would be nothing to bury. Part of me wanted to race out of here and lose myself in the streets but I held back. I was going to let them take me to the next foster home and I wasn't going to fight anymore. Why would I when I had lost everything that was worth fighting for?

Suddenly the door opened and in stepped the police Commissioner. He was a strong looking man with brown hair, blue eyes, glasses and a think mustache. He walk toward me slowly as though I was a wounded animal and he wasn't sure if I would bite. "Hello Mianga," he said as soothing as possible as he knelt in front of me, "My name is Commissioner Gordon, and I am so sorry about what happened to your sister." I nodded weakly but kept my head down making him sigh before he pulled me into a gentle embrace. I felt my control slip making my breathing more laboured as I gently gripped onto his shirt.

"Where are you going to send me," I asked keeping my head down as he pulled away. The Commissioner smiled as he sat down next to me while trying to get me to look at him.

"you will be going to a nice home with someone that can take care of you," he said trying to get me to cheer up. It didn't work and he sighed as though he didn't know what to say. "From what I can tell you will be staying at Wayne Manor," he said and my head snapped up to look at him. "Bruce was going to be the one taking care of me? "Mr. Wayne is going to be picking you up in a few minutes," Gordon said while smiling when he saw my reaction. "So do you have any other things then what you have with you," he asked and I shook my head head. He looked troubled but before he could say anything a soft knock interrupted him. He sighed and got up then opened the door to revile Bruce standing in the doorway.

"Hello Gordon," Bruce said smiling and sticking his hand out, "It's nice to know that you're still here helping kids like me." The Commissioner smiled and shook his hand.

"You remember," Gordon said smiling and Bruce nodded.

"You were the one that put your jacket on my shoulder and showed me the world hadn't ended," Bruce said before bringing Gordon into a sudden tight hug. "Thank you for that," Bruce told him, "If you hadn't who knows what might of happened to me." I smiled softly and waited for them to finish talking as I checked my little amount of belongings. All I had was the few picture, some spare cash, a few bits of food, an extra set of clothing and my golden butterfly necklace. The necklace that match the one that Topanga had been wearing, the one that Topanga had been wearing, the one that had been given us at birth. Tears pricked my eyes but I whipped them away before the two men noticed.
