"you run away from your problems
you're so lost"

"You like her, don't you?"
Not many words can describe the unreadable expression that sweeps over her usually overly expressive face, and Sasuke feels his stomach knot up, assuming the worst of the obviously inadmissible question. Part of him is unaware of the dread that continues to throw itself onto his shoulders—wanting to know why he constantly feels the need to egg her on, anger her; infuriate her. It's a chemical that fills him with a splice between relief and almost.. heartbreak? As if her confirmation means the difference between life or death, but he can never let her see that.
He'd much rather brave the fiery pits of hell.
Even so, he watches his female counterpart fall into a venomous smile, the unexpected action prompting him to raise an eyebrow, but he can see through the facade reflecting off the shine of her dark brown eyes.
Confusion. Terror. Rage. Inferiority. Sasuke can see her every emotion and worry flash through her eyes as her face continues to show an entirely different beast of confidence.
For some reason, he expected tears. But none trill down her pale face as his assumption rings through her ears, registering as a question she's not quite ready to hear.
And what exactly was she supposed to do? Bare her flesh and soul onto the very boy that ruined her peaceful childhood in Konaha by being handsome enough to make girls hate his 'special treatment,' which was really just the bare minimum of friendship? Tell him all about her history of misunderstood emotions and bundles of hurt for her ex friend she still had yet to address? Koharu had learned not to dwell too much on the past. To keep anything rotten from scratching the surface. Even something she doesn't want to answer.
She doesn't want to think about it anymore.
"Mind your own business, okay?" She mumbles as her smile falls into a look of dread and disgust.
Shit.
"Koha—," before the entirety of her name leaves his chapped lips, the sound of a bell rings in his ears, his involuntary blinking revealing an empty space where she once stood. Fields of grass stand before him as the wind perpetuates swiftly through his soft raven black hair, his pale face staining red with embarrassment. Naturally, it really was none of his damn business.
Though a very spiteful and unaware part of him can't seem to ease the anxiety and subtle disappointment that perhaps, his loathed teammate would never be interested in him for reasons he didn't like the idea of. Nothing is wrong about it, of course, but watching the way she looks at the pink haired girl he can't stand made his blood boil in ways he'd never felt before.
