"What's that!" You wished that you could've folded the paper quicker because Shayla was already snatching it away from your hold with a teasing smile. She circled the counter with her smile nearly taking half of her face before giving the letter back to you.
"This is very boyfriend of him to do" You heard her say as you were occupied with taking the food containers out of the paper bag.
"He's not my boyfriend..." You muttered under your breath but the weight of those words took over your mind quickly.
"Then what are you to him?"
"I'm his friend" You pointed out correctly which was true.
There was never a clear line between what you and Beomgyu are, no one dared to name it.
You saw how Shayla raise an eyebrow at your words before chasing after you, taking the empty seat across the table, and dismissing your offer of taking a bite out of the piece of chicken from your fork. You were quiet the whole time, taking bites and chewing with your attention focused on the food presented. But Shayla's eyes never failed to move away from you, quietly, you looked up, catching a glimpse of her leaning back in her seat with her arms crossed over her chest.
"Have you and Junghoon been talking?" She broke the streak of silence.
Setting your spoon and fork down, you replied with a simple shake of your head.
"He didn't even ring a single call... I don't even know if he's worried"
"He should be, he's your boyfriend," You quickly saw the way her head tilted upon seeing your reaction as if you were about to deny your status to him.
"And Beomgyu is just your friend like you said...Y/n, I'm not here to talk about what you have with Beomgyu because I know there's a boundary in it and you should see that. Figure out what it is before it's too late because Y/n... I think Beomgyu's already deep in it... he's just waiting for you"
When Shayla was just met with your silence, she sighed heavily before continuing.
"He can't make his move or expand whatever he's going through right now because you're with somebody. And I know that heart of yours is long gone because Beomgyu already won it, it's just your mind that's left. You need to set your decisions straight"
