~Dr. slug's pov~

I walked into my lab ready to get to work. I walk pass one of the three desks I had in my lab but stop for a second before turning to the table. The table had blue prints, pencils, pens, rulers, blank blue and white graphing paper, and other little knick-knacks on it. I noticed there was a small piece of paper neatly folded on the desk on the side facing up in neat cursive hand-writing it said 'Dr. Slug'  I grabbed the note and opened it. The note read in the same writing:

'Dear doctor,

You have been seeming a little bit more protective of certain things like your gloves for a example. Are you alright? It is a little worry some to see you being protective over them for a unknown reason.'

I was being slightly more protective of my gloves, bag, and goggles recently but I didn't think much of it and just decided to not reply to the note it seemed pretty silly to do so anyways. So with that dr. slug sat down at his work bench that had a unfinished invention on it. The invention was made to stun the villain for a few minutes giving the hero time to stop their evil plan or to escape if in a unwanted situation. After a while Clementia walks into the lab not bothering to knock. I sighed annoyed "What you want?" I say in a cold tone. "Awe I can't just check up on the best scientist we have?" she replied. "I am the only scientist for this company so what do you want I am trying to work if you couldn't tell" I said turning to the right so I could face her. "Welllllllllllllllll" she emphasized the "L's" "White hat would like to see you" she says after a short pause. "Fine but stay out of my lab while I am gone." I say rolling my eyes as I pushed her out of the lab. I close the lab door and head up stairs towards white hat's office when I arrive I knock on the door I hear a "come In!" after a few seconds. I open the door slipped in and closed the door behind me "Clementia said you wanted to see me sir" I say in a monotone voice. "Oh why yes I was curious if you were done with the invention yet" White hat says smiling I could tell it was a lie but played along not wanting to bring the note. "Close to being complete" I say before walking back to lab closing the door behind me.

~White hat's pov~

I knew he could tell I was lieing but went along with it by saying "Close to being complete" and walking away closing the office door behind him. I actually wanted to say 'did you get my little letter?' but I decided agenst it. though I did notice that he was slightly fidgeting with one of his gloves while talking to me it was odd to see since he isn't the fidgety type of person. I spaced out for a little trying to think of ideas on why he was fidgeting with his glove and not calling me out for the lie but instead going along with it.
