~white hat's pov~

~in the morning~

I woke up and noticed dr. slug was gone so I quickly got up and got ready I was planning to see if he wanted to try and do our plans today since yesterday didn't quite work out. I decided to check the lab first since that's where he normally is. I opened the lab door and found dr. slug messes with some invention of his. "good morning slug!" I say with a bright smile "morning.." slug replys in a quiet voice. He seemed to be stuck in his thoughts until I said something. "So I was thinking since yesterday didn't go quite as planned why not try again today?" I say putting on a more calmed face. "hmm sure" slug says going back to his normal voice.

~dr. slug's pov~

I didn't say anything more but on the way out of my lab with white hat I grabbed his hand though he seemed to not notice. We exited the manor making our way to the cafe going the same way as last time. 'he better not bring up yesterday' I thought as we arrived at the cafe. We waited in line for a while before paying for our orders I got a normal black coffee and white hat got a latte. On our way back we held hands with our fingers linked I didn't protest or say anything about it though. Half way back white hat stopped us because some hero saw us and stopped by to chat with him for about a good 10 or 20 minutes. I just hope he didn't realize my hands shaking slightly since I was kinda paranoid that woman would show up again. She never showed up and we got back home soon after white hat finished his conversation with that other hero her name was justice girl or something like that apparently she also ad a brother called justice boy or something I didn't pay all that much attation to what the conversation was about.
