CHAPTER TEN ! . . . 💋
Marinette brushed a light shade of blush onto her cheek bones, then freshened up her lipstick right as her cellphone rang. Marinette took a deep breath, answering the call.
"Hi," She said to the face on the other side of the phone. "you're right on time..."
Adrien laughed, "I wasn't lying when I told you i'd be calling at one-thirty."
"Oh, so were you just dying to call right as the clock hit?" Marinette joked. She was walking down the stairs and was ready to prop her phone against the closest thing she could find.
"How's this?" Marinette spoke again, backing away from the camera, doing a little spin to show off her pink top and blue jean shorts.
Adrien smiled, "Just gorgeous," he told her confidently, mirroring her actions. "How's this?"
"Just gorgeous," Marinette repeats nonchalantly.
Alya had finally convinced Marinette to agree to the "hangout" with Adrien in the park. As she left the bakery, the heat hit her and almost immediately made her more nervous than she already was.
The park was just a block or two away from her house so she explained to Adrien that he didn't have to give her a ride. And she wasn't lying, she made it to the park in only about six minutes.
She nervously waited by the fence and as Adrien promised, the party was empty until a blacked-out SUV pulled in by the entrance.
Marinette pulled out her phone to warn Adrien, but before she could complete the task, he climbed out of the SUV.
She watched in awe, shock, and disbelief all at once. Adrien seemed confused by the totally empty park until he caught sight of Marinette standing awkwardly by the opposite entrance he was standing at.
She couldn't see him clearly, but it appeared that he waved her over. She gulped a second and started her shakey walk his way.
"Marinette," He said excitedly and held his hand out for hers. She took his hand and he lead her over to the still parked SUV. "this is Nathalie."
Marinette was internally freaking out from the contact her and Adrien were making, but she managed to gain her composure and held her free hand out to shake Nathalie's, "Nice to meet you."
