CHAPTER five

After having a drink, they sat down and talked for a while. Ingfah went to run
and play with the children who were relatives, Phai and his friends sat down
to drink and chat as well.

"Uncle Phai, Ingfah is thirsty" Ingfah ran to grab his arm.

"I thought you didn't love me anymore" Phai pretended to tell his daughter.

"Ingfah loves Uncle Phai very much, but now Ingfah is thirsty." the girl
replied in a pleading voice.

Phai chuckled softly before pouring water into a glass for the girl to drink.
Ingfah kept running and playing together with Day and Brick. Ingfah played
like a child, until she got tired and sat on Brick's lap and fell asleep.

"Bank, look at Ingfah, take her to my room. " Phai said, so Bank slowly
took Ingfah off Brick's lap and led her to Phai's room, where Bank often used
to sleep. Bank went to bed with the girl first, was startled when she opened
the door to Phai's bedroom. Phai entered gently.

"Day and his wife have returned." Phai said, Bank nodded.

"You can sleep here tonight, Bank. Didn't you bring your bike? Ingfah is
already asleep. " Phai said as he sat on the edge of the bed, on the side
where Bank was lying. Bank hesitated a bit.

" l go back to the shop for a bit, Phi. I'm going to get Ingfah's clothes
and mine too. Tomorrow, I'll take a shower and get ready here so I don't
have to take the baby home. " Bank said. Phai nodded in agreement.

"Then let me take a look at my daughter. " Phai said, not feeling his heart
flutter when he heard Bank say the word baby, because it reminded him, his child in Pin's womb.

"Hmm" Bank replied when he saw that Ingfah had slept well. Phai and Bank
went out to find Phai's friends still drinking
.
"Guys, don't get too drunk or no one is coming to the Khan Mak Ku
parade tomorrow. I'm going to stomp on it. " Phai taunted his friends.

"Guys, I'm fine. Drinking like this doesn't upset my stomach at all. " Pom
said jokingly.

"I'll go home first, Phi. I'll take a look at the store for a bit. " Bank said.

"What about Ingfah?" Pom asked.

"Let's sleep here first. I'll go back to get my clothes and sleep here too,
so I don't have to rush to get up from home tomorrow." Bank replied.

"Do you want me to take you?" Pom asked when he saw that  Bank had
brought a motorcycle.

"okay, I'm just going for a minute." Bank said with a smile before walking
away. Pom went to sit and drink.

"Is there something wrong, Phai?" Pom asked Phai when he saw his friend
looking at him.

"No, nothing. I wonder if you're drunk or not. " Phai replied with a smile.

"You're probably afraid that I won't help you with the Khan Mak parade?
Well, after I drink this glass, I'm going to go back to bed." Pom replied.
Phai said nothing.

After a while they all gradually returned to rest. Phai's mother also told the
groom to shower and sleep because early tomorrow, the groom must first go
to the bride's house and offer food to the monks in the morning. Phai entered
the shower and gently dressed so as not to disturb Ingfah that she is sleeping.
After changing his clothes, he called Bank, but Bank cut the line. Phai immediately frowned, but didn't knock again because there was a knock on his bedroom door. Tonight Phai won't close the door for his mother to wake
him up.

"I was just in time so I didn't answer the call" Bank spoke up knowing
better than to ask. Bank showered and changed into the clothes he brought
from home.
