"Firs' of all, it's not Hogwarst, it's Hogwarts." Hagrid said, chuckling.
Leo's eyes widened in surprise and he blushed, embarrassed.
"Second of all, didn't ya read yer letter? It has all the things ya need ter know. At least I think so..." Hagrid looked doubtful.
Harry took over. "It's a school for learning magic, in simple words." He said, seriously
"Ah," Leo said, looking at Harry with the same expression of seriousness, mocking Harry's own. "Thank you dearly, Mr. Potter"
Harry rolled his eyes, shaking his head but couldn't hide the amused smile on his face. Hagrid looked at the kids, amused.
Hagrid looked up from them and came to an abrupt halt. Leo stopped as well, pulling Harry back by his shirt to stop him from walking away. Harry turned, confused, but then noticed that Hagrid had stopped walking. Leo and Harry looked at Hagrid, expecting him to speak. Hagrid instead looked forward onto the sign above a tiny, grubby-looking pub.
Leo couldn't believe he had just thought the word 'grubby-looking.' Since when was that a word? Moreover, how did he know it? And what is this 'moreove-'
"This is it," said Hagrid pointing the pub out and startling Leo out of his thoughts. "The Leaky Cauldron. It's a famous place"
Leo looked at it for a second before looking around, curious as to why the people walking by aren't stopping. If it is a famous place, why aren't people stopping to go in or even look? But no one even glanced at it. Their eyes just slid from the big book shop on one side to the record shop on the other.
Leo had a sneaking suspicion that Harry was thinking about the same thing. That it was almost as though the people around couldn't see couldn't see the Leaky Cauldron at all!
Leo internally shrugged. Oh well, it was probably one of their magic tricks. 'Our', he reminded himself. 'We are the same type of people.'
Leo caught a movement from the corner of his eye and looked over. Harry had opened his mouth, about to say something, but before he could Hagrid put his hands on one of either one's shoulders and steered them inside the pub.
Leo looked back in front of himself after they entered and wow.
Do wizarding people actually like the dark and shabby aesthetic? Because this place seemed out of an evil castle. Though the aura it was giving off seemed kind. Leo looked around, taking in the black/dark brown walls, the wooden seats, the people around there. A few old women were sitting in a corner, drinking tiny glasses of some orange liquid.
"Do you know what they're drinking?" He whispered to Harry while the people nearby where talking to Hagrid. Everyone seemed to know him.
Harry looked down to Leo from a little bald man in a top hat who was talking to the barman. He looked a bit like a greasy walnut.
Harry looked where Leo was looking. "Sherry."
Leo raised an eyebrow. How did he know that? Eh, I'm not gonna question it.
One of the ladies were smoking a long pipe. Hagrid was speaking to Mr. Greasy walnut Bartender.
He suddenly felt a large hand clap on his shoulder, making his knees buckling and he flinched.
Hagrid noticed and quickly shot him a worried look before turning back to the Bartender. Harry didn't seem to see what just happened.
'Good Lord' said Mr. Greasy Walnut. 'can this be-?'
The Leaky Cauldron suddenly went silent. Leo looked at Harry along with everyone else, finding the same expression on his face as Leo's own- confusion.
'Bless my soul,' whispered Mr. Greasy Walnut. 'Harry Potter... What an honour.'
