Hagrid led them through the bar and out into a small, walled courtyard, where there was nothing but a dustbin and a few weeds.

Hagrid turned and grinned at Harry.

"Told yeh, didn't I? Told yeh you was famous. Even Professor Quirrell was tremblin' ter meet yer--mind you, he's usually tremblin'."

Leo frowned slightly he looked up at Hagrid, but before he could open his mouth, Harry jumped in. "Is he always that nervous?" Harry asked, curious

Before Hagrid could reply, Leo looked at Harry "He wasn't as nervous though when he was talking to me." Leo paused. "Actually, he seemed quite at ease"

Harry snorted. "Most people are comfortable around you" Harry smiled

Leo puffed his chest out in mock pride, "Why thank you, Harry" He said in a rich, high and mighty voice, as though a lord of the place.

It got a laugh out of Harry and a chuckle out of Hagrid, so Leo beamed, considering it a job well done. Hagrid then looked at Leo properly. It wasn't the normal fleeting glance that Leo knew Hagrid really didn't mean to, but an actual look, as though taking in the Latino for the first time.

Leo always thought that people they passed- who recognized Harry of course- stared more at Harry than Leo himself. I mean, of course, he's the literal CHOSEN ONE so it's obvious that would happen. It just mean Leo would be more likely to be in the shadows. Leo didn't mind. Actually, he preferred not putting a constant happy face even though nothing happy was going on. Now he might have someone to hide behind

Leo sighed, shaking his head. But honestly, it's barely been even two hours. How can Leo judge this world already?

In the mean time, Hagrid was messing around in his pockets, rummaging for something and muttering strangely. He dug through the pockets for quite a while as Harry stood still and looked on blankly with a kind of confused expression on his face. Leo thought that Harry was taking in the experience of being recognized.

Leo thought back to the Leaky Cauldron and how Professor Quirrell was so nice to him. The way he spoke and talked to him, it was as though he was actually listening to Leo. He looked at him. Then a jarring note of realization was sent down his spine.

"Hagrid?"

The spoken person raised his head, pulling out a pink umbrella. Oh was that the magic- no Leo, don't get distracted.

"Quirrell. . . wasn't always like that, was he? I mean- he wasn't always so nervous, was he?"

Hagrid stood straight and looked at Leo. Harry stopped looking like he was high on magic and looked at Hagrid.

"No, actually, he wasn't like that always. Poor bloke. Brilliant mind. He was fine while he was studyin' outta books but then he took a year off ter get some first hand experience. . . they say he met vampires in the Black Forest and there was a nasty bit o' trouble with a hag- never been the same since. Scared of the students, scared of his own subject (well, not always)- now where's me umbrella."

Hagrid then seemed to realize that he was in fact, holding the umbrella. He turned away from Harry, but Leo saw a deep red blush on his cheeks as he fumbles with the pink instrument.

Leo sighed softly. See? this is what he means by he never really sees Leo. Nevertheless, this kind of invisibility has helped him before, so he ain't gonna complain now.

"Righ'!"

Leo flinched and swiveled around to see Hagrid looking at Harry.

"Stand back, Harry, Leo"

He tapped the wall three times with the point of his umbrella. Really, It is a beautiful shade of pink-

The brick he had touched quivered- It wriggled- in the middle, a small hole appeared- it grew wider and wider- a second later they were facing an archway large enough even for Hagrid, and archway on to a cobbled street which twisted and turned out of sight.

A surprised chuckle escaped through Leo's lips as Hagrid grinned, and turned to the duo

"Welcome," He said, "to Diagon Alley!"

He grinned at Harry and Leo's amazement. How was the place so . . . so . . . clean?!

Seriously, there wasn't even a plastic bag on the ground! The shops were colourful and bright with excited shouts and whispers echoed though the bustling air. It looked happy, it looked jolly and all in all it looked like a magical place.

Haha, see what I did there?

Leo grinned at the joke he made in his mind as they stepped through the archway. Leo caught a movement at the corner of his eye and glanced back to see Harry look over his shoulders. He looked too and just saw the last bit of the archway shrink back into solid wall.

The sun shone brightly on a stack of- were those actual cauldrons?- outside the nearest shop. Cauldrons- All Sizes- Brass, Copper, Pewter, Silver- Self-Stirring- Collapsible said a sign hanging over them.

"Yeah, you'll be needin' one," said Hagrid, "but we gotta get yer money firs'"

Leo wished he had 6 dozen more pairs of eyes. Though his ADHD helped, he turned his head every which direction, but still felt as though we was missing a few colourful people and shops. Leo and Harry's 2 heads darted around, trying to look at everything at once: the shops, the things outside them, the people doing their shopping.

A smart long haired, blonde wizard was talking formally to a black haired woman beside him, standing out by their dark clothes in the blasting heat. A blonde haired boy their age was looking up at his parents, a bored expression on his face. The man was shaking his head, saying, "... but the boy must not know the dark lord is there.."

Something like that. How strange. Who is 'The Dark Lord' and the boy...? wait- was he talking about Har-

A low hooting came from a dark shop with a sign saying Eeylops Owl Emporium- Tawny, Screech, Barn, Brown and Snowy. Several boys about Leo and Harry's age had their noses pressed against a window with broomsticks in it.

"Look," Leo heard one of them say, "the new Nimbus Two Thousand- fastest ever-" excited voices echoed out of the glass as the people in it were bustling and happy as many older men were looking at it from the inside as well. So much about a broomstick? I mean- it could make you fly-

There were dozen shops, selling robes, telescopes and strange silver instruments Leo had obviously never seen before, windows stacked with barrels of bat spleens and eels' eyes, tottering piles of spell books, quills and rolls of parchment, potion bottles, globes of the moon...

Hagrid suddenly stopped. Leo did too just in time, but saw Harry moving away as an expression of pure amazement glazed his eyes. Leo grabbed the back of Harry's shirt and pulled him back. Again. Really, this kid got really distracted. Even more so than Leo, though not as fidgety.

Harry looked back, startled, and seemed to realize they had stopped. A blush creeped on his face and he laughed nervously. Leo grinned and laughed back at Harry, jabbing at him. "Come back to the ground, dreamer boy" He mocked good naturedly. Leo winced. That seemed a bit insensitive of him.

Though, Harry laughed at the joke and Leo didn't find any fakeness in it. He internally sighed in relief. "No more cracking jokes on others" He scolded himself.

Harry and Leo looked up at the building they had reached. It was snowy- white (oh that would be horrible to clean) building which towered over all the other little shops (ok, that would be seriously hard to clean). Standing beside it's burnished bronze doors, wearing a uniform of scarlet and gold was a creature he had never seen before. He looked at Harry who just seemed to be staring at the height of the place.

"This", Hagrid's loud voice rung out, making both Harry and Leo jump. They both looked at the older, taller man. Hagrid's eyes twinkled. "Is Gringotts".
