023 // Dain and a story.

"Your captain?!" Paimon screams out and Dainsielf just stays kneeling one the ground with his head facing the ground aswell.

"Yeah.. what are you talking about..?" Is what I say before he stands up and I realise that I'm also a millimeter taller than him.

"Damn I'm so tall" everone looks at me after I say that.
"Oh shit did I say that out loud?" "Yeah." Oh sorry." Is a convo between me and Aether before dainseilf walks up to me.

"Do you not remember me? This is your reincarnation isn't it?" He says with a slight hint of doubt lacing his voice.

"What are you.. talking about?" I ask because I cant deny it, this has piqued my interest.

I see him look at the ground, and he starts to tell me a story.

When his name is like this, this means he is narrating.

"This is speech obviously"

Okay let's do his story now:

Dain:
When me and.. lumine were travelling, during out Fontaine visit we met you. An aspiring engineering genius who had love for creating new things. You said some weird things inetines that we didn't understand but, we could tell that it was atkeast funny to you.

'*paimon sighs* that sure sounds like y/n'

Dain:
You always were in your little world, having your own inside jokes and woukd make some up too. Lumine and you instantly connected, and me and you were.. as you put it alpha buddies.

*He sighs before continuing.*

You had helped make weapons, gadgets and had this power to manipulate hydro, even before the destruction of khaneriah. (Sorry if I spelled that wrong!!)

Dain:
You made everyone around you feel happy, and that's why me and lumine invited you on our travels.

'He stares at me while I'm still taking this all in.'

Dain:
You joined us and helped Lumine on her journey, giving us weird gadgets and gizmos that helped us clear our way.. till you started having flashes.. but you assured us you were alright.

Dain:
You were just going around with us, taking notes in your notepad, and then you found a strange cat, you named it Yin.. I think. He followed you and he became one of our friends too, but he was only one of the many friends you helped us make. I remembered you were fond of this god, was it guizhong? I don't remember.

Dain:
Once lumine Reached the end of her journey, we got jobs in khaneriea (the spelling gets worse each time) I was a captain of some armies but you.. you and your cat were amazing.

You made weapons for khaneriah to defend them self with, and you made things called grenades for destruction.

Dain:
You worked your way up, and was the cheif and captain of 'engineering and science' department. That's what you called it anyway.

With your high rank and ability to connect, you instantly became a.. threat to other places.

*he does a long sigh before looking down and continuing*

Dain:
When the war broke out, you had a target on your back.
All of your weapons were usefull, and you kept protecting us, healing others with potions and using hydro as an advantage.
Your efforts weren't in vain, and we stuck together, helping eachother. Then you created a "gun".. and you gave me one too.

*he pulls out a very rusted gun and my signature from when I was on earth.*
'That's my.. signature.." I say before he nods and continues.

Dain:
With your "guns" we were able to protect people, and we stayed safe. But we couldn't find lumine.

Then.. night after night, your body got tired out from fighting and you were having those flashes again, till it started to turn into fainting.

One night someone invaded our camp, but you didn't wake up. You were asleep and then I heard a bloodcurdling scream come from you.

Dain:
You were bleeding from the edge of your mouth and then I saw your vains.

A crimson Color lined then as you slowly woke up. I didn't get a chance to glimpse at your face, because you got up and.. you did something. Your fighting skills came in and you used your guns to shoot all enemies.

Nobody had ever seen you like that, and especially not me.

Dain:
You were on a rampage until you heard lumines voice.

You stopped and the humanity glimpsed through because you just stared. Stared at her.

She started to approach you and you lumped to her, her height almost reaching you because you were limping. (Your taller than her lmao)

You hugged her and she stabbed you in the back.

She stabbed you, twisted the sword in your heart and looked at me. She grinned a little and then teleported into an abyss portal.

I just watched, and I didn't realise the tears streaming down my face.

I ran up to you. And I saw yin lying next to you, meowing for you to wake up.

"Dont die on me y/n..DONT DIE..PLEASE!" I plead and I watch your lifeless eyes, for a second they open and I see crimson.

You smile and then gesture for me to come closer, and you tell me the one thing that broke me.

Dain:
"S-see you later.. dain the pain." And with that said you were gone.
Your blood trailed and yin felt a ding on his collar. He rushed up to me and Some paper is strapped to his collar.

I read it and here is the following.

"If your reading this, my name is Y/n L/n and I am dead.

I have left my technology in my room and it should all be there.
I know yin will make it, so please take care of him, would you?

And Dain, or Lumine, if your reading this, I'm still out there, somewhere.".

After Dain finished recalling, I see that it's afternoon and then I feel something, and then it hits me. I'm going to fain-. I fall onto dain and he catches me.

3rd person:

" my Captain! They've fallen down, traveler what do I do?" He says while struggling to keep y/n from falling.

"We need to go to Sumeru, supposedly there's a doctor there, and he can help them." Paimon says and Aether nods.

"Let's go to sumeru then."
