Sanemi yelled at the demon inside of the box, a malicious grin spreading on his face before he bent his knees slightly and lift open the wooden hatch.
Slowly, Nezuko began to rise from her place in the wooden crate, all the hashira watching carefully as the master turned over to where all of the sound was coming from.
Staring at what was going on under the shade, M/n also took the occasional glance at Tanjiro, his expression of pure anger and horror being quite hard to miss.
Tanjiro watched closely as Nezuko finally stepped out of the box and onto the ground, shoes making a soft thud along with the movement.
The demon huffed, staring at Sanemi's bloodied hand in hunger and cautiousness.
"Iguro, you're pushing him down too hard. Please, ease up a little." Shinobu suddenly spoke, glancing between the Kamado brother, who was currently struggling under Obanai's grip, who barely faltered.
"But he keeps trying to beak free, y'know?"
"Kamado, if you try to use breathing techniques while he's compressing your lungs, you'll rupture blood vessels." She finished matter-of-factly.
"Rupture blood vessels? That sounds cool! Good! Do it! Rupture 'em!" Tengen cheered with an excited grin on his face.
"Poor, weak, pitiful child.. Namu-Amidabutsu." Gyomei prayed.
Before anything could be side tracked, a growl from Nezuko suddenly brought everyone's attention back to the main event.
Tanjiro couldn't take this anymore. It was practically torture, watching people who were apparently the strongest members of the corpse stand there and watch his sister die. He was surely being egged on, a test, but even if this was just the pure cruelty of the Hashira, he had to do something because laying there, watching Nezuko get bribed wasn't an option.
Letting out a loud scream, he began to kick his way out of Obanai's grip, face gleaming with sweat, rubble and blood.
Back arching, his arms flexed and soon broke the rope that was tied around his hands, Obanai pushing him down further as to make him immobile.
Obanai was about to push the hand that was compressing Tanjiro down further, but was interrupted when Giyuu suddenly grabbed the free hand of his with a strong grip, successfully averting the snake pillars attention.
At the opportunity, Tanjiro crawled forward slightly, hands flinching at the foreign feeling of hot pebbles burning into his already grazed skin.
"Nezuko!" He yelled, limping over to his sister, though it was to no avail as the strength in his lower body had already completely diminished.
Nezuko looked at Tanjiro, and soon a determined look spread across her face.
Her thoughts flooded with images of her family, friends, and most importantly, her brother. Humans are meant to be protected, not harmed.
Nezuko's breathing had yet to slow down, but as she stared at the blood, the red liquid coating the floor underneath Sanemi, she turned away.
Many gasps resounded.
"What happened?" The master asked calmly.
"The demon girl turned away. Shinazugawa stabbed her three times then offered his bloody arm for her to feed, but she controlled herself and didn't bite it." One of the children said calmly as the the master began to speak again.
"In that case... Nezuko has proven that she won't attack people." He finished, his words causing Sanemi and Tanjiro to perk up, clearly startled.
"Tanjiro... Nevertheless, some will still view Nezuko unfavorably." The master stated, a calm but reassuring smile on his face.
