"Is there anything you need, M/n?" The master calmly asked, a smile on his face.

"Hypothetically, if Nezuko-chan were to eat a human, instead of killing Tanjiro-kun, would it be possible to kill me instead?"

And at this, all of the hashira perked up, their eyes widening, Tanjiro's eyes especially.

"Huh..?" The boy muttered out.

"The hell are you talking about, brat?!"

"M/n.." Muichiro whispered, gaze soon diverting to look at Tanjiro, eyes soon narrowing them into a glare.

"Oh? May I ask the change of mind?"

'If anyone, keeping both me and this kid would be the best option, but if it were out of the two of us.. sun breathing is certainly superior, no doubt.' 

"Ah, ah! It's nothing, nothing at all! Though, may we have a small chat after the hashira meeting, master? It was a hypothetical question, anyway. Of course, I'm sure demon junior would never eat a human!"

"Of course, M/n. Tanjiro, you are now excused." The master replied in a soothing tone, and Tanjiro merely nodded, letting the Kakushi lift him up and carry him away, still shocked and confused.

"Now, let us commence with meeting."

"Okay, take him away!" Shinobu cheered once again, her arms clapping together.

"Excuse me!" Tanjiro wailed back, though it came out slightly distorted.

"Well, the hashira council is-"

"Please wait a second! I'm not done yet! I still owe that guy with the scars a few more head-butts! One for each time he stabbed Nezuko! And I still have questions for that guy!" Tanjiro continued to yell, gesturing at both M/n and Sanemi for completely different reasons.

"Hush, shut up!!" The kakushi hurriedly said, one of them wacking Tanjiro on the head while the other was trying to pry the boy off of the pole he was clinging to.

"Shut up, let go of that!" But Tanjiro wasn't listening until a rock suddenly pelted his face, his figure thumping to the ground.

"Interrupting the master is considered quite rude." Muichiro said with a blank look though slight annoyance was evident through his voice.

"S-sorry, master sir!" Replied Tanjiro with a wobbly tone while the Kakushi bowed, "Lord Tokito!"

"Hurry now. Go."

"Y-yes sir!" The Kakushi's replied, panicked.

"Tanjiro. Give my regards to Tamayo." The master smiled calmly and the boy perked up at this.

"Hand on! Just then, what did he say?! Wh-"

After all of the hashira were dismissed, everyone left the grounds one by one.

"M/n, please do come over here, my child." 

The boy nodded in response with a smile on his face as he walked up the steps, the masters children making way for him so M/n was placed in front of the corpse leader.

"Mmm, lets see~" The h/c haired trailed off before letting out a laugh.

"He can use a technique thats gonna benefit us greatly, so him dying isn't exactly an option, yeah?"

The master stayed silent for a minute, an unreadable expression on his face before he let out a soft laugh.

M/n's eyes widened slightly.
