Dylmas & Newtmas oneshots

Not really Newtmas..

Another after Newt dies story, Thomas has a kid named Tyler. This will be short, sorry!

"Daddy!" Tyler called from across the feild. "What is it?" Thomas asked in reply as he walked over to him.

"Uncle Minho says I should get a pet." He explains pointing to his uncle.

Thomas gave Minho a I-don't-want-my-kid-to-have-a-pet-how-dare-you look.

"And do you know what kind of pet you would like?" Thomas asked brushing his hand over his young child's head.

"Yep! I want a Newt!" Tyler screeched excitedly.

Minho stiffened up, Thomas almost fell over.

"How about something else?" Thomas asked, regaining his balance.

"No!! I want a Newt!!" Tyler demanded stomping his feet.

"Well maybe you'd prefer a Dog?" Thomas asked, trying to calm down his son.

"No! I WANT MY NEWT!" Tyler yelled.

Thomas combed a hand through his hair and stumbled back.

"I want my Newt, too." He mumbled

"I saw one by the lake, I even have a name picked out for him!" Tyler clapped his hands gleefully.

"What's the name?" Thomas asked, rubbing his temple.

"I wanted to name him after you." Tyler explained.

"How nice.." Thomas said emotionlessly, not paying much attention to the words.

Well, at least until his son came back with the Newt.

Tyler lifted the lizard up and called it's name.

"Come along, Tommy."
