Mate

Nikolai POV

I haven't really sleep since Saturday and today is Monday I got to get ready and go to school for last senior year. Being the next Alpha got a lot of man labor and paperwork to do. Doesn't help that we got an occasional rogue issue.

knock         knock          knock

" Come in" I could already sniff the air and tell it's my mother on the other side of the door.

"Oh, honey, are you okay? you haven't sleep for days and you got school today. Do you want me to call in and so you can rest?" my sweet mother said.

"No mom, it's okay I can still keep going. Somehow Blaze is very anxious to go to school today. he won't stop pacing on my mind". as I yawn and getting up on my desk and getting ready for school.

"hmmmm... you think it's your mate?" my mom said excitedly.

" I don't know mom; I haven't seen him acting like this before. I'll be happy if it would be" getting excited myself.

" Alright hun, I wish you luck!" my mom said excitedly.

It's been 2 years since I transformed into my second form and since then I have been looking for my mate. 

Now 18 I need my mate, I could only function well if I have my mate beside me. I don't care if she is a human or anything as long as she is mine. 

I get myself ready and, in a hurry, I just want to get to school and see why my wolf Blaze is excited and anxious about.

As I got out to the Pack house and hop into my black truck. It will only take 20 minutes to head to school.

 Our pack house is hidden inside the vast woods that caters 800 wolves in a vast last here in Hill Country Texas.

I park my car and I notice that Blaze got more anxious.

"What is it Blaze?" I asked my wolf.

" Just keep going get inside the damn school already" my anxious wolf said.

" Wow dog, calm down we will get to it okay jeez" can't believe his already on the edge and so am I.

When we get inside the sweet smell hit us hard. The smell of molten chocolate lava cake with a hint of burning embers? that's odd combination but who cares I'm already addicted to it.

As I follow hastily this addicting smell, I slam the door of my civic class. And there she is standing in from of me with her black hair? and brown eyes? I could tell that this is not her natural hair and eye color. 

"mate" as my wolf and I said it in unison.

I was lost in trance and just can't get enough of my mate, and she seems to be doing the same checking me out.

The teacher makes a coughing sound to get us both in trance. He told us to go to our seat... Great she will be sitting in front of me. 

As she walks towards me, I saw Jessica stick out her foot. Immediately I am in rage, my wolf and I just want this slut dead for disrespecting her Luna.

 I would not tolerate such act towards my mate.

But instead of falling for her trick she leans forward to Jessica and whisper on her ears. And of course, I want to know what she said and man she is strong and can stand up for herself. 

What did she say? BABA? I might not know what that means. But I think its demeaning Jessica, I got a mental note of searching its meaning on the internet. 

The way she speaks melts my heart and the accent that says she's not from here.  She sat down on her sit, and I just can't contain my excitement and lean over her shoulder. 

I am in heaven sniffing and inhaling her scent sent me into clouds. As I told her how hot it was she wasn't really interested about me.

 Thus, makes me frustrated, and it doesn't help to that Blaze wants to claim her right there and then.

 I mean if she is a werewolf that would be easy but she's not, she's a human. 

Knowing that would mean that I have to take it slow and in human pace.

I keep on trying to talk to her, but she got this scowl face, hinting that she annoyed by me. 

In this point I don't even think that she could feel the mate bond.

"She does, I know she does" my wolf assure me.

"How did you know that?" I asked my wolf.

"Because she blushes and flinch when she kisses us on our cheek" my wolf smirk.

"I hope so bud, I would like this to be on the next level of getting to know her quickly so we could have her next to us immediately."

" I couldn't agree more".

The class break for lunch and before I could react, she already bolted away from me. All I ever wanted is my mate, she's here yet I can't reach her. 

I keep telling myself to have some patience, and more patience and trust the process.

 I believe in the moon goddess, why she paired me to her.

I got my lunch and was looking for her around and I can't find her. 

I sniff around like a crazy dog but still I can't find her.

My phone ring and I just lost it.....  I didn't even bother looking who's calling?

"WHAT!!!" as I answered my phone.

" You should never lose your temper son!" my dad said on the other end of the phone.

Damn it. why didn't I check the caller ID now he will reprimand me about being disrespectful.

"I'm sorry dad what it is?" I asked. 

" I need you here in the pack house and brief you over important things" he said.

" I'll be right there" and hang up the phone. 

I really don't want to go back just of yet, but my duty comes first. 

As I walked back to my truck, hoping and praying to the moon goddess that 

I will meet my mate again.
