CHAPTER 31

Aleksey wasn't happy to hear that Falcon would not join his organization, but he understood. His decision to stay close to Danica and the baby was still underway. Dmitri had left for Russia and was getting everything ready on that end and shipping everything that Aleksey would need and seeing as the Fallen Angels already owned a shipping business, Maddox offered Aleksey a discount on his shipment. The older man had laughed so hard that he had cried.

"I like your way of doing business, perhaps I could join the Fallen Angels and become a consultant of sorts."

Falcon and Maddox both looked at each other with eyebrows raised. "What is it exactly that you're looking for, Aleksey? Danica will never be harmed again. Lennox, Titus, and Zane have been promoted as her personal guards. Where I go, she goes and when she doesn't she's in our apartment that's like Fort Knox," Falcon offered the older man.

Aleksey breathed out and stood up. He began to pace the length of Maddox's office with his hands clasped behind him. "In my business as you very well know, we make enemies. I fear that my enemies will find out about Danica and try to use her against me. I am a very powerful and wealthy man, and I would trade it all to keep her and my grandchild safe."

Falcon and Maddox knew exactly what Aleksey feared. It was a reality that they lived with every day. They too had enemies and they too feared the same things, but it was part of their lives, it was part of who they were, and Danica was well aware of that, and she accepted it.

Her guards would always be with her and their children and Falcon would add as many men to her guard detail as was necessary. He was confident that Danica would be safe, she knew how to shoot and kick ass as well which made her that much more dangerous.

"Don't you think that you, hanging around her will put her in more danger then?" Maddox pointed out.

"Your enemies will get wind of where you are, and they will connect the dots. Did you think about that?" Falcon added in not a very nice tone.

He understood that he wanted to be near Danica but if he was so concerned about his enemies finding out about her then his presence in Pine Harbor was not such a good idea.

Aleksey nodded his head. "I know this, I also know that if I leave her now I will most likely never see her again. I missed her fist word, her first step, her first everything and I don't want to miss anymore. I don't want to miss my grandchild's first anything." Defeat filled his voice.

"There's one way you can be with Danica." Falcon said. "You can retire and hand everything over to Dmitri and make it known. That would make your enemies his enemies and Danica safer." Perhaps, he thought. It was something to think about.

The wedding had to be pushed back a couple of weeks due to Aleksey's change of power.

Dmitri had to bring him all the papers for him to sign because Aleksey refused to leave Pine Harbor and Danica.

Maddox and Danica were spending more time together which made Falcon nuts. He knew that Maddox only saw her as his daughter, but it was hard on him anyway. He was possessive of her, and she knew that and never complained about it making him want her that much more.

Their love making had become more frequent due to Danica's pregnancy hormones. She was insatiable and always ready to go. There was no place that he was safe from an attack from her. They had been caught already making love in the office of the Fallen house and Danica had had to remain still on Falcon's lap as one of the brothers and sisters spoke to him about a shipment that hadn't reached its destination.

When they had left, and the door had been closed, Danica had gone wild on Falcon making him climax so hard that he had gotten dizzy afterwards.

Everything was falling into place. In one week, he would be married to the love of his life and in six months he would have his daughter in his arms.
