Staying away from Danica was resulting harder and harder as the days went by. Falcon was in a constant bad mood and all Bexley and Titus did was tease him which made him even crankier.

The search for the brother who wanted Danica dead was still going on and knowing that he was still out there also added to Falcon's bad mood.

"Fuck!" he cursed, walking down to the office where Maddox sat with Dmitri.

"What's wrong? Is she alright?" Maddox asked, worried due to Falcon's outburst, which were getting more frequent.

"Yes, she's fine but what is not fine is that I have to sleep away from my woman because there's an asshole who wants to hurt her for some reason. Why? Why the fuck would anyone want to hurt her? She's never done anything to hurt anyone. She hardly ever spoke to anyone in the house when she was younger, she kept to herself and ignored everyone. Including me." Falcon chuckled more to himself at the last statement he made.

It had driven him mad knowing that Danica ignored him back then. She barely said two words to him every week, but she was like that with everyone except for Vaughn. She would talk to him all the time.

His blood began to boil thinking about that. In his reasonable mind, he understood that Vaughn had been more of a lifeline for her back then and she had crushed on him, but nothing ever came of it. In his not no reasonable mind, he hated the bastard for having touched his woman the way he only got to touch her now. Just thinking about it made his stomach tie in knots and it made him insecure. He hated feeling that way. He knew that Danica was his. He knew that she loved him and never loved Vaughn the way she loved him, but it still irked him to know that they had been together. He had to be the bigger man and rise above it, or he would wind up losing Danica over stupid jealousy and he was not about to lose her.

He had to figure his shit out and talk to Danica about how he was feeling. It was the only way to put a lid on that can of worms and set it aside for good.

"You with me? or are you thinking about a certain female with a baby bump?" Maddox teased Falcon.

He had been so deep in his own thoughts that he had missed most of the conversation that had taken place.

"Yeah, sorry. What did you say?"

Maddox let out a sigh and laughed at Falcon. "I've never seen you this hung up on a woman before."

"I love her. It's that simple, Maddox. She makes me want to be not just a better man, but she makes me want to be everything for her. I want this motherfucker found so I can marry her ASAP and enjoy that baby bump." He grinned like the fool he knew he was, but a fool in love.

Dmitri stood and smiled at Falcon. "I'm glad that you feel this way about Danica. She is like a sister to me now and I would hate it if I had to shoot you for hurting her."

Maddox roared in laughter loving how the Russian and Falcon stared at each other.

Falcon had a few inches easy on Dmitri but that didn't intimidate the Russian one bit.

"Just keep your fucking hands to yourself and I won't have to shoot you," Falcon warned him, making Maddox laugh even harder bringing tears to his eyes.

"Enough dick measuring, we have a brother to catch, and I think I know why he's after Danica." Maddox leaned back in his chair and put his arms behind his head.

"Care to share with the group?" Vaughn said from the bottom of the stairs. He walked up to the desk and took the seat next to Dmitri who greeted him with a handshake.

Falcon took one look at him and wanted to bash his face in. He took a few deep breaths and willed himself to calm down. They didn't need a war between two brothers right now. Not when they were about to find out Maddox's theory.
