Fundy frantically looks around for Wilbur, his hat floating in the water. Fundy swims to the stone shore when he sees Wilbur's hair moving slowly in the gentle breeze.

"WILBUR!" Fundy calls out

Fundy pulls himself onto the shore and runs to Wilbur who was a couple feet away

"Wilbur! Hey!" Fundy says on his knees softly shaking Wilbur's limp body

"...ouch, that hurts" Wilbur says in almost a whisper

Fundy looks at Wilbur's Body. A pool of blood was quickly forming underneath Wilbur as well as his abdomen from where he was originally stabbed. Wilbur's breath becomes a quiet wheeze.

"Why'd you do that!" Fundy yells in desperation

"Heh...I guess instinct." Wilbur says quietly

"Stop talking like a dad Wilbur." Fundy laughs

*Wilbur smiles and chuckles quietly before clenching his jaw in pain*

"Dang it..." Wilbur says in pain

"We gotta get you out of here." Fundy says looking around

"How...even if we found a way out I would bleed out before we made it half way." Wilbur says

"Hey come on." Fundy says

Wilbur moves his hand and grabs Fundy's paw. Wilbur smiles. The kind of smile a father gives his son.

"Guess this is the last time I'll be here. Again." Wilbur says looking up at the sky

Fundy stays silent, his ears go down. Even though Fundy didn't want to believe it. He didn't want Wilbur to leave, he wanted him to stay. He wanted his dad to stay with him. But Fundy knew that it wasn't going to happen.

Wilbur looks at Fundy, he gives him the same soft smile. Soon after Wilbur's body begins to glow a yellowish-green. Fundy's eyes water as Wilbur's body turns into small balls of light that float up through the opening of the pit and into the sky. What's left of Wilbur's body is a pool of blood, and his beanie.

Fundy grabs Wilbur's beanie and tears start to slowly roll down his face.

"DAMN IT!" Fundy yells clutching the beanie

Through the blurred vision caused by tears, Fundy saw a small peace of paper poking out of Wilbur's beanie.

Fundy grabs the paper, it's a photo. It was taken during the L'Manburg revolution. Wilbur and Fundy standing together, Wilbur with his arm around little Fundy. Both of them have smiles on their faces. On the bottom of the paper beneath the picture reads,
