It was a rainy night in London, and a heavy one too. Heavy to the extent that everyone was forced to stay indoors. Even the police officers have to cancel their patrols for obvious reasons. Everyone were enjoying their times with their loved ones and neighbors except one man.
He was middle aged, well built and has a red hair cut. He was in his bedroom, packing some clothes in a traveling bag in a hurriedly manner without even folding them. "The agents you called for are here Chris." He looked up at the door and saw a blonde woman with a bump on top of her left lip.
"What about Sam? Is she packing?" Chris asked, closing the bag and adding it to another traveling bag. "Yes. Thought she isn't happy about it." She responded. "Don't worry, it'll soon be over." He assured before going out but she grabbed his hand to stop him. "Please Chris, at least tell me what's going on." She asked, scared.
Chris looked at her with guilt. He only wanted to settle down with her and their daughter. Which is why he choosed that mission as his last mission. But that however ended up being a siucide mission with him having a bounty on his head. He didn't wanted it to end this way, but there's nothing he can do about himself now. The only thing he can do is to make sure his family are safe.
"Laura listen to me." He told her holding her cheeks in a loving manner "I messed up, big time. And the people I was supposed to stop are after me. They're more dangerous than I realized, and they'll stop at nothing till I'm dead. So there's nothing that can be done about me. But I can still save you and Sam."
"What do you mean till you're dead? What happened? Who's after you? Chris tell me what's going on?"
"Don't worry about me, worry more about you and Sam. Listen to me. The agents will take you two to the American embassy. There, you'll both be provided with new identities to start over." He paused before continuing "And no matter what happens,..... promise me that you'll never look for me."
"What!? Nonononono please don't say that. Please don't..."
"Promise me."
"There have to be another way. Please I can't loose you...."
