For the past six weeks, Aleena's emotions had been a swirling mix of joy and despair. Every time the memory of the unfortunate incident at the library entrance resurfaced, a dark cloud enveloped her, casting a shadow over her happiness.

After a restless night, Aleena woke up the next day with a determined purpose. She planned to visit her best friend, seeking advice and hoping to find solace in their companionship. With a refreshed spirit, she enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, took a refreshing shower, and chose to wear her favorite traditional wrapper, which always made her feel beautiful.

As Aleena approached her family, she noticed her brother, Shakir, hastily hiding something behind his back. Catching his eye, she approached him curiously, asking, "Yaya, what are you hiding?" Her voice tinged with intrigue.

Shakir glanced up, feigning innocence. "What would I hide?" he replied, a mischievous glimmer in his eyes.

With a shrug, Aleena dismissed his antics. "Well, I saw you hiding something, but it's okay." She brushed it off, her curiosity lingering for a moment.

Aleena then informed her mother about her plans to visit Sakna's house, observing her mother's expression carefully, silently praying for a positive response.

After a brief moment of contemplation, her mother relented. "Okay, but be sure to return on time. I don't want your father blaming me for anything." Her mother's voice carried a hint of amusement, knowing the playful banter that often unfolded between Aleena and Shakir.

Aleena noticed her brother and mother sharing a secret smile, realizing that Shakir had merely wanted to tease her, knowing her aversion to grapes. Laughing at the realization, she playfully dropped her plate and walked away, leaving her mother and brother chuckling behind her.

From her mother's room, Aleena made her way to the parking lot, got into her car, and greeted the gatekeeper with respect. With a wave of his hand, the gatekeeper opened the gate, allowing her to embark on her journey.

Upon arriving at Sakna's house, Aleena greeted the gatekeeper warmly, who returned her respect with a genuine smile. The gatekeeper had always appreciated Aleena's courteousness, despite his position. Parking her car, she stepped out and caught sight of Sakna in the garden, spreading sorghum for her beloved pigeons. Aleena's face lit up with joy as she approached her friend, their hearts dancing with anticipation. Sakna's presence brought a sense of comfort and familiarity that Aleena cherished.

While Aleena went inside to store her bag and greet Sakna's mother, Sakna waited in the garden, soaking in the beauty of the surroundings. Sakna's mother, Mama, noticed Aleena's arrival and turned towards her, a warm smile gracing her face.

"Well, well, who do we have here?" Mama asked playfully. "Is that you, Aleena? Are my eyes deceiving me?"

Aleena returned the smile and greeted Mama warmly, feeling a sense of warmth and acceptance in her presence.

"We have a special guest today," Mama announced, her voice filled with care and curiosity, piquing Aleena's interest. With that, Aleena excused herself and joined Sakna in the garden, helping her spread the sorghum for the birds.

As they worked side by side, Aleena opened up to Sakna, pouring out her heart. "I'm here because I need advice and guidance. I feel so confused, unsure of what to do with my emotions," she confessed, her voice carrying a hint of vulnerability.

Sakna looked at her friend, her eyes filled with understanding. "Is it about him? The person you can't stop thinking about, the one you've fallen for?" she asked gently, recognizing the depth of Aleena's feelings.

Aleena nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. "Yes, it's him. Ever since that incident, I've struggled to find happiness. It's been difficult to move on."
